I know it's just a camry but it's turned into a project car. It's kinda fun, I'm not really doing this to make my car fast just enough passing power when I go back and forth to school. I'm also making sure not to make it look ricey, I'm also trying to keep it stock looking, no outrageous body kits, wings, or colors.  :)

Nice car mate.

edit: for your camry, how did you go about getting the angel eyes in your lights? i really like the look of that and would like to do it to my car.

Unfortunately, you will have to customize them yourself. They currently do not make aftermarket angel eyes for the gen 4 cam (97-99), they only make them for the 4.5 (00-01).

Here's a guide of DIY projects.

This is the exact link.

You may also want to try toyotanation.com they are really helpful. It would also be a good idea to purchase some headlights off of ebay for practice so if you mess up it won't be that big of a deal. Good luck. ;)

Nice car mate.

That car is worth 1000 threads. :D

I got another car... problems with the other one and my brother needed another car.

I bought a 1995 Chrysler LHS.

It's got leather, 3.5L v6 (it moves), moonroof, and a huge ass trunk.

I'm planning on getting my subs in there soon.

I'll get pics as soon as it gets lighter outside.

I love white cars.

No black wheels, that's so tacky. :x

I actually like the current wheels. If I ever, for some odd reason decided to change the wheels on the car I would only change them for another pair of original BMW wheels, no aftermarket crap is going on this car unless its Alpina.

Man, you really have a great taste in cars. (Y)

Have you played Gran Turismo 4? It's a dream for people like you and me. :D

    • Close, but it is for any application starting, not just during boot time. In fact, it probably will not improve boot time at all because during a boot, the CPU is already boosting, so a pre-boost wouldn't change anything. I agree that it isn't exciting (especially considering every other OS already does it), but it is a good thing, even if they are just playing catch up.
    • Any so called performance increase will be in milliseconds, which nobody will actually notice in real world usage.
    • All it does is use the CPU more efficiently during boot to speed up boot times. That's it. Yawn....
    • It's not a one or the other kind of thing. Software should run efficiently, and the operating system should appropriately manage the CPU clocks. You could have the best most optimized software on earth, and it will still run faster if the CPU does a better job of boosting as needed. All this is doing is pre-boosting the CPU based on user actions, instead of waiting for the normal detection mechanism to kick in. If the OS knows it is about to need more CPU, why shouldn't it use that knowledge? It's the same idea of downshifting before passing someone, instead of just burying your foot into the peddle and waiting for the transmission to figure out what you want to do.
