What do you drive?

Recommended Posts

Wow, everyone here involved in computer/internet businesses? Sure got some nice vehicles, must be rich.

Me, I haven't had my licence for 20 years or so now. Had a couple impaired charges in my early 20's and never did bother getting my licence back.

I still drive other peoples vehicles the odd time though, without it, but if caught, it's only driving with an expired licence... maybe, lol.

Nope,

Not involved in any internet/computer business, although I do work on computers on the side. Otherwise, I'm 100% disabled and no longer can work.

Been there and done that on losing my license though. 3 dui's and 1 impaired back in the 80's. Took me 14 years and a ton of cash to get my license back, so it CAN be done. Helps that I no longer drink also. Got caught driving without a license once within those 14 years.

Yeah when I look back at my younger days I feel stupid that I did drink and drive so much.

Nice car by the way. My dad did up a 66 Malibu, nice car too.

Since a couple of months, my new car is a Peugeot 308 (I previously owned a Peugeot 207), 1.6 HDi, 110 HP, Premium Pack. Fantastic car, couldn't ask for more in this price range, low fuel consumption (about 6 liters/100Km on average), not lazy at all, good equipment & options, 6 + 1 gears, glass roof, etc. Here she is :) :

^ Such a nice looking car - if I had to get a car in that segment, Fusion 2.0L Ecoboost w/ AWD, nice looking cars and power to boot. If only they put the Taurus SHO's engine in the Fusion :woot:

Or the 5L V8 from a Mustang! The USA gets all the good fords. The Fusion over here is a very different animal :(.

Haven't contributed to this topic yet, so I thought I would.

1999 Dodge Dakota Sport

3.9L V-6 Magnum

201,000 miles

5 speed manual transmission

It's my old work truck, got it used, runs great, doesn't use oil, doesn't smoke or anything, gets me to work and back and my hound goes bananas every time I put him in the back to take him out in the woods. Only costs me about $25 a month for insurance. It's multi-colored because my wife's uncle had it before me, and he let somebody borrow it and they got T-Boned. They rebuilt it, got it licensed under a rebuilt title, and I ended up getting it for free after I did some work on it. Still need to get around to digging out some sandpaper and sanding off the rust spots and re-painting them.

The Ford Explorer beside it is also mine, but I pretty much gave it to my wife and I don't drive it unless the weather is bad and I need the 4 wheel drive.

    • What they really need to do is automatically spell "loses" and "lose" correctly since nobody seems to know how to anymore. Then they blame spellcheck/autocomplete and don't realize autocomplete is just filling in the word for them automatically so it was misspelled in the first place.
    • If someone chooses to continue using SB and therefore goes through the manual intervention in the thread, afterwards the BSOD problem is gone. Whether they then re-enable the task doesn't matter, they're done, though on such machines it might pay to keep it disabled in case the next update (if there is a next) causes the same problem. OTOH, if someone disables SB in the BIOS, the problem is also gone. Incidentally, I noticed that this task exists even on machines that don't support SB. It's just installed across the board...and runs. Doing what on such machines is a little hazy.
