Yeah - those teenager Benz dont do it for me --  but if you like it - thats all that matters.

I would much prefer an E400 sedan but hey, a Benz for a first car is still pretty sweet ;)

Oh hell - I didnt know that was your first car - if thats the case - then hell yeah that is sweet.

My first car ?  a 1985 Ford Tempo, 2 years after I got it, the IRS impounded it because of a tax lien my father had and it took $93,000 to get my $500 tempo out of impound.

I had the most expensive Ford Tempo in the world !  :D

I hated that thing - everytime I stopped at a red light I felt everyone was looking at me, making fun of me because I drove a crappy car.

Now that I am older, and have nice cars, I realize at the stop light - nobody give a &*%^   - nobody is judging me and Im not judging people who have less - its just a car..... one that goes 0-60 in less than 3 seconds !  :D

I'm VERY grateful that I could lease this car as a first! Why pay $260 for a Honda Accord and a base-model C250 comes at ~$280? I opted for Black on Black and wanted mostly the Lighting Package but hey. On one hand, I am stuck with Halogens for 27 months, but I still get the Entertainment Package and SiriusXM! 6 Months for $30 was a promo I got after the 6 month trial and yeaa not complaining!

In 1985 for that money, you could probably get 2 Countach's haha! An AMG isn't worth a daily driver with the busted roads of Hollywood and is FARRR from my budget! I would personally take an Infiniti Q50 & your GT-R if I were to go Japanese otherwise I am not fond of the handling compared to the Germans. My dad had a beater Ford Celebrity back in the early 90s, that thing was comfortable!!

I have gotten looks on my car; I just floor it and get in front of them at a distance. That's where I draw the line. My car as an i4-Turbocharged with these pipes turns heads but cops have yet to give me crap. I kept the stock look (1 Tip exit) for that as one of the major reasons; others would be unneeded cost for fake 'AMG' tips and splitting an already tuned exhaust system possibly harming performance. My 0-60 I haven't clocked yet but I'd say I could pull under 6 seconds but that's it. Its a shiny German Econobox and I know its limits. I could care less if someone who lives in an apartment has an ///M or AMG, I would love to keep on this Econobox and park it at a nice garage with the house I get with that spared money I mean look at your picture as a good example!

The AMG can happen in my 30's but it will happen. I just wanna have enough money to keep a family for the future. I am 22 but I gotta be wise too; testosterone doesn't ALWAYS dictate my choices. ;)

It's a i4 c250 right? Don't think it's going to pull anywhere near under 6 sec at 0-60. Unless your a pro driver, it should be a little under 7 sec 0-60.

Gahhh!! 7 seconds! Its a typo!

I wish I could pull a 5.x sec 0-60 on this! Only goes to the CLA45 on that one!

Driving that was like driving a whale in comparison to the little Toyota Yaris that I was driving just a few minutes before that.

Being able to see over practically every other car on the road is awesome however. Except for all the other damned SUVs... :p

@ 22 and driving a new Mercedes - thats awesome.  I dont want you to get the wrong impression by what I said, that car is great - very nice.  Im in my late 30s and would prefer something else, thats all.  But any new Mercedes is ...well.... a Mercedes. ;)

Hey man - I just want to repeat the GT-R is not technically mine. My dad bought it, but cant drive it, but he hasnt never just said, "oh to hell with it - you can have it" .  My daily is a G37 sedan.  Just wanted to be clear about that & that pic of the driveway with the Raptor & GT-R is not mine - I found that on Google. ;)

My tastes changed within the year too trust me I get where you're coming from so no worries.  :)  I didn't figure you would grab that picture from Google hahaa.

I used to be all about BMW but after seeing all the recalls, reliability issues on the F30, and that a 328i would set me back ~$370-$400, the C250 was more viable. I'm not a VW/Audi person. I fill up my tank at the most twice a month for $40 for 91!

My coworkers drive G35's and G37's and filling gas is a major drag for them, I hear it all the time! My 4 banger has its perks there hahahaa :D  My lease is up mid-September 2016; I'm waiting for the new 2016(?) 2-door C-Classes.

The way your dad owns his GT-R is the way I wanna be with an AMG for my kids one day. I wanna keep the car fixed/tuned/cleaned in a cover and only open it once or twice a year. Preferrably an E63-S ;)

As for my father, he figured whatever car he bought would probably be the last sports car he ever owned as he is getting to old to be driving crazy, and he wanted something awesome.  He looked @ the Cadillac CTS-V too.  He went to Vegas where you can drive a GT-R on a track for an hour.  When he came home, he bought the 1st red one he could find.  However, he got in a wreck in another car of his and fractured 2 vertebrae and cant get into the GT-R anymore  (too low)  so instead of getting rid of it, he let me take it... so to speak.  It is paid for, but it is not mine.  He figured since I was the sole reason he even knew what a GT-R was - that I should be the one to enjoy it.  (I have a sister and brother but neither of them are interested in cars)

As for a Mercedes, I just never thought about getting one because there was always something else I wanted more.  But like I said a few posts back, I am pretty fickle and right now - cant decide because it seems every week it is something different - last week it was an F150, this week....well its only Monday morning - so we will see ;)

Reliability issues on the F30? Mine has been rock solid, and my F30 335i is a 12/2012 build, so it's a pretty early build. The forums are always a good place to look at common problems, and so far the F30 has no major problems. The new N20 engine on the 328 has gotten very positive reviews. BMW is underrating their N20 and N55 engines, and BMW is also a little conservative in the 0-60 rating. The gas mileage on the turbo 4 and turbo 6 are also excellent. On my 335i (N55 engine), I can get 34-38 mpg on the highway, 24-26 mpg on the city, and it's rated for 0-60 at 4.8s.

I see the new W205 is having a lot more early problems, so not a good sign. @ AMG - I had a '07 CLS 63, it was an amazing car, and was my quarter life century crisis car (25th birthday present to myself :D). If you are getting a used AMG, be prepared for out of warranty repairs - I can't stress how expensive they will get. Sadly I had to get rid of the car, because it was just simply way too expensive to maintain, even though the car cost less than a fully loaded Accord/Fusion. Not to mention, wearable items like tires are expensive (and it will eat through them), and it just drank gas. When you own an AMG, you measure gas mileage in different units called smiles per gallon   My advice to you, if you can afford it, go for it. It's a once in a lifetime experience. Just have plenty of money saved up for the inevitable maintenance and repairs. I am looking into getting another AMG - looking at C55/C63 or any M156 based 63. I'd love a M157 AMG, but they are all more than I'm willing to pay for. I'd also love a 500E - that is an iconic car. Or, I'd go the pCar route - the Cayman is calling my name.

There is something about Audi that leaves a poor taste. I don't like that a $40k+ car shares parts with VW. Hell even a million dollar Bugatti uses a similar key fob to a $20k Audi.

After trading in my 5 series (with 120K miles) I got a short 27 month lease on a Lexus IS350 since I didn't really see anything I liked.  Now (a little over half way into the lease) I've locked into my next car:

The sound just got me.  A complete sleeper and the Gallardo/R8 V10 under the hood.

So when are you getting one? :)

As soon as I can get out of my lease. Could be a little before it ends, if my friends at Lexus hook me up.

Already scoping some out but they probably won't be available by the time I'm ready but it's good for information. I know it'll be a 2010 or 2011 with around 40k miles.

That is one of the things I love about my truck.  Living in Alberta >80% of vehicles are trucks or SUV's and when I had my car I had a hell of a time seeing around other vehicles.  My truck (though stock height) sits above pretty much everything except other trucks, big vans, and 18 wheelers.

Damn that thing sounds great.  I like it !  Is this S6 suped-up or is it factory like this ?

Waiting to see some runs with this thing.  I hope it comes out when the successor to the Veyron comes out.

It has a Magnaflow exhaust.  I would do something to the exhaust anyways, just not sure what yet.

This is completely stock:

How is this for a driveway ?

I recently purchased a 2004 Ford F120 4x4 Lariat SuperCrewCab and loving it.

Never though i'd love a vehicle so much.

Currently upgrading alot of it and modding it.

Tis my baby.

Also really enjoying fixing it up and working on the engine. Same funness that comes with troubleshooting and fixing a computer, but with a much more of an happy achievement satisfaction feeling.

Looks in great shape for a 2004.   I love my F150 (posted a couple pages back)  I can definitely see my next vehicle (in 5 years or so) being another F150 solid truck, solid drive, and definitely dependable.

I don't know if this counts but I "drive" a 2013 Honda Ruckus. Got rid of the money pit I knew as a 1998 Mazda Protege Touring edition with no regrets.

Bought it brand new for about $3600CAD including taxes and registration fees, approx $5CAD for a full tank of gas (5L) which gets me almost 200km, approx $460CAD annual insurance, and I do my own maintenance.

It's 50cc so it tops out at 70km/h but that's good enough for 95% of my commute. Hoping to do some cheap mods to get it up to 80km/h.

Head down, elbows in, try slipstreaming should get you up to hmmmm, 71!

Usually with mods comes noise, something to remember.

    • RevPDF 4.5.0 by Razvan Serea RevPDF is a free, fully offline PDF editor for Windows, macOS, and Linux that lets you edit text and images directly inside PDF files — no internet connection, no account, and no cloud uploads required. Unlike bloated alternatives that demand subscriptions and constant connectivity, RevPDF fits in under 60MB on desktop while delivering a complete editing toolkit: annotate, redact, sign, compress, split, merge, convert, and reorganize pages, all processed locally on your device. Smart font matching ensures edited text blends seamlessly with the original, and multi-language support includes RTL scripts such as Arabic and Hebrew. Where most PDF editors force you to choose between features and simplicity, RevPDF manages both. You can build interactive forms from scratch with text fields, checkboxes, and dropdowns, permanently redact sensitive data before sharing, draw freehand on contracts and diagrams, and add custom watermarks — all without a single file leaving your machine. Edit Text and Images Directly Inside PDFs RevPDF supports true inline PDF editing — not just annotation layers on top of a document, but actual modification of existing text and images within the file. A smart font-matching engine identifies the font used in the original document and applies it automatically when you make edits, so changes blend naturally with the surrounding content. You can reposition elements, resize images, and update text across single pages or entire documents. RevPDF 4.5.0 release notes: This is one of the biggest updates to RevPDF yet. A lot of things people have been asking for are finally here. New Features Auto Redaction Permanently redact sensitive text and areas from your PDFs before sharing. Clean, irreversible, and fully offline. Comments, Links & Bookmarks Add comments for review, insert clickable links, and create bookmarks to jump around long documents without scrolling forever. Find & Replace Search across the whole document and replace text in one go. Long overdue. Split Pages Vertically or Horizontally Split any page down the middle, vertically or horizontally. Perfect for scanned books or double-page spreads. New Drawing Tools More tools for freehand drawing and markup, better for annotations, sketches, and detailed notes. Continuous Scrolling in Editor The editor now scrolls continuously through pages instead of jumping between them. Working through long documents is a lot smoother now. PDF Metadata Editor View and edit the metadata stored inside your PDFs, including title, author, subject, and keywords. Better Font Matching Text edits now blend in more naturally by doing a better job of matching the original font. Tabbed PDF Viewer Open multiple PDFs at once in tabs and switch between them without going back to the home screen. Add Links Insert hyperlinks anywhere in your PDF, to external URLs or to other pages within the document. Share & Print Shortcuts Share or print directly from the editing screen, home screen, and viewer. No extra steps. Minor Updates Paste images directly from clipboard into your PDF New image editing tools for more control over images inside documents Bug Fixes Fixed file saving issues on Windows and Linux Everything still works fully offline.
