turn 16 in october, but i could already have my permit. i just dont want to because i dont have a car, and i dont want to pay $30 a month for insurence for my parents car for about an hour of driving a month tops (theyd split it with me)

i'm 19 and i still haven't gotten my license. i have my permit, but somethings just kept me from getting out and driving. bah. i'm sooooooo unmotivated.

in the state of Virginia, you can get your permit at age 15 and in 10th grade, you can take the road part of drivers ed either during or after the textbook part. I took it after and I was 17 when I finally got my license. I didnt get my first car until my senior year. it was a 90 mercury topaz. now I drive a 2000 nissian frontier, which was paid off in november :D

same here im 19 no license and NO permit either, i neither have money for a car or a decentpaying job for one as well, it sucks so bad i never get to see my gf :no:, the way i htink of it , im stuck in an endless loop of sh*t, cant have a car without a job, cant have a job without a car, (dont say loans or anything with lending money just not possible inmy situation) it blows

Over here you have to get them in this order:

Learners -> Restricted -> Full

With several months in-between them all.

Yes. Provisional Licence since 29 Jul 2002 due to expire 28 July this year! 6 more months and then I am on Open!

Yes...Though its only a G1, which means I have to have someone who has is fully licensed with me whenever I want to go driving. Although on February 1st, I'm going for my G2 which will allow me to drive by myself. :D

I have got two whiler license.. not 4 whiler, not planning to get 4 whiler, coz not having car, when I plan to buy a car, I will go for 4 whiler license as well :)
