actually he did check out the thread...... but it's for the normal Seer, not Hacked (colored) Seer that we all want :)

i would love to see this hacked version of seer a flatter turn. the text in the title bar should be left aligned. no more mac spin offs either, some nice blue background (to match start) min max and close buttons would be nice also no more "seer" in the start panel. just a flat theme inspired by seer would be nice. it's weird to me because the actual taskbar and start menu look flat (except the stupid circle to open the hidden tasks), and then the title bar and the start panel look 3d...

We arent trying to make a total re-make here. We are just editing it. I have finished a dark grey color, but I dont really like it. There will be a screen soon and you can tell me what you think.

Sorry redrope, don't mean to seem like an @ss or unappreciative. Just giving my specific thoughts but I see what you mean. That drifts too far from seer itself. Great work and keep it up! I'm using the skin now! :)

I like your ideas and I see where you're going with this... But as Brad said, we don't want to change too much of the original version. However, I am starting to create a theme myself. If you have any more ideas, pm me and we can talk about them.

Evil_Dragon: The Trillian skin by redrope is nearing completition, and the Winamp skin I am creating should be done within the next 2-3 days (Friday at the latest). Please be patient. :)

I haven't been able to talk to redrope... so I don't know what he's doing with the multicolors or the trillian skin... you'll have to ask him.

The winamp skin will be done soon. I'll try to get it done by tonight, but if I can't: definitely tomorrow. Sorry for the delay.

    • You are clueless. The updates are done in the background so the next time you open Edge the updates are applied automatically. There is no need to close all your tabs. Just keep browsing like you normally do. Clearly you don't use Edge and are just one of those haters that complain for the sake of complaining.
    • I don't get this David. Can you explain it please.
    • Microsoft is busy. Lots of changes to be released imminently for Windows server or soon. Also, lots happening for next version as well. Third party virus scanning software is being moved out of Kernel mode to avoid repeat of Crowdstrike incident. Windows Protected Mode and Windows Ready Print no longer require third party print drivers to be installed. New storage stack being developed. New NVME drivers now available for Windows Server 2025 to improve local NVME drive performance by 60+ percent. NVME-Of of fabric being worked on for next release to improve network access to NVME drives. ReFs (next file system) now has ability to boot and will become default file system in next release of Windows Server. ReFs improves on NTFS in several areas including resiliency and reliability and scalability. New update stack is being worked on to unify Windows updates, and updates for drivers and first party/3rd party application software. A stricter and more robust third-party driver certification program (ODI) is being worked on to improve performance, thermals, battery life, and reliability on modern Windows hardware by tightening how OEMs and IHVs (Intel, AMD, Qualcomm, NVIDIA, etc.) build and ship drivers. There is a tone more but too numerous to mention.
