Regarding earlier on the thread with the adonai vs sp00nman match, I have to say, I agree with what adonai was saying. Flame me if you must, but adonai's comments seemed perfectly okay, initially it seemed nothing more then just a warning from a guy who's seen a lot of mess come from misunderstanding with who authored work. Oh well, it's a pity it had to turn into a flame war.

That aside, wicked theme, great job guys, using it now!

Ok BananaMan, I am glad that you are using our theme, but I just dont understand how you can support that crap. He was saying that we included wallpapers that we didnt make. We didnt. He said we didnt get permissions. We did. What is to agree with?

Also, new colors really soon. (Sorry I have been putting it off.)

The argument is well over now... so I don't really want to see it being brought back up...

BUT, I don't think you saw the argument 360 degrees around... Redrope had obtained permission from KoL and the original authors to create "Hacked Seer," yet adonai consistently bashed him and I for promoting the new version... even though we had permission.

I think he gave up because he finally realized that we did get permission and that he wasn't informed enough on his part. It came to the point where he started bringing up ridiculous assumptions and ultimately failed.

But yet, I agree with you and adonai that permission should be obtained... and it was! I don't believe it would have been right to just go ahead and adjust KoL's work without asking him, which is why we did ask him. Except, what adonai didn't realize was that we had gotten permission. It even came to the point where he started insulting our work, a guarenteed indication that he was desperate to defend himself in any way that he could.

Moving along...

I'm sorry to all of you about the winamp skin.. I know I said it would be done over the weekend, but it's extremely difficult to find time for anything right now with the finals in the way... as soon as Thursday and Friday are out of the way, I'm home free! :) So, production will continue this weekend and I will start releasing skins then. Until then, adios.

Ok. Here is the deal with the new colors. I am thinking of making the colors changes strictly taskbar and start meny oriented. The other things are minimal and they dont really effect anything. If I do this, which I am doing right now, there will be more colors that I can do in less amount of time.

Thoughts?

Just before I reply, I want to say that I don't want to start another flame war by this, nor am I trying to. I'm not at ALL interested in drilling my point into everyone, it was just an observation. That aside, the reason why I agreed with him was because his initial comments seemed really reasonable, my impression was that he was just giving you some warning, not attacking you. Beyond that, it escalated into a flame war and then, yes, I agree with you, you were right in saying that you did obtained permission and that it just wasn't an issue. It just seemed like a misunderstanding that got blown waaaaay out of proportion by a flame war. sp00nman and redrope, I am not attacking you, and I'm not saying you're wrong either, please don't take it that way, this is just a silly little observation by me who probably doesn't understand the situation entirely. I really got peeved at some of the other neowinians who just flamed him for the hell of it, I thought that was unfair. Oh, and, just in case someone says this, no, I don't know adonai, never talked to him before ever.

Okay, all that messiness aside, I'll say again, I love your theme fellas, I usually cycle through themes daily because I'm not happy with them but this one is sticking, looking forward to the other colors!

Yeah, I understand where your coming from. No harm done... I was just putting in my opinion. I'm not arguing with you though. :)

I agree with his points, but I think he took it a little too far. He acused us of stealing people's ideas, distributing wallpapers without permission, called us names, and insulted our work. So naturally I defended myself, and a lot of other people here looked over what was happening and stepped in.

Oh well, everything is over anyway... thanks for the compliments on the theme, although it was redrope who made the msstyles! I just made the quicknotes and ezpop skins, and I'll be working more on that upcoming winamp skin! Adios.

I wasnt attacking you either, nor was I trying to if you thought I was. Im glad that you cleared that up. :D

Working on more colors right now. These colors are strictly taskbar and a little more. Im going to download the latest regular seer to make the theme be the best that it can be. :D

Ok folks, here is the last update for Hacked Seer EVER. To be totally honest, I have lost interest in this project, as have many other people. I dont think that its worth it to continue, so this is the last update ever. There is only 2 colors, because that is all of the patience I had for this. The new color is a red version. It looks ok.

FINAL VERSION OF SEER by redrope

The download file that is included here is a total package that includes all of the skins and the two visual style colors. I hope that you enjoyed this project, as it was my first, and I hope that from editing a theme I can move on to my own theme. I thank you for reading all of this and for paying attention to what we did. I also thank you for putting in comments and giving feedback. As sp00nman and I probably both agree, this theme could have had a lot more, but oh wel.. school sucks. :D

Thanks and enjoy!

Thanks

Same here. When I try to select the style in the desktop properties the hacked versions of seer do not show up. I have placed the 2 msstyles files in a folder called "Hacked Seer" but they aren't selectable from my list of styles.

Yeah, I know how that goes. There's just not enough hours in a day to juggle school, skinnin' and relaxation. Great work redrope and sp00nman, this theme will be on my PC for a long time!

Make sure that the folder name is identical to the .msstyles filename.

That's cuz you have the original seer installed. Go into the folder and just manually click the msstyle...

    • Ocenaudio 3.19.3 by Razvan Serea Ocenaudio is a full featured, fast and easy to use audio and music editor. It is the ideal software for people who need to edit and analyze audio files without complications. Ocenaudio also has powerful features that will please more advanced users. To assist ocenaudio development, a powerful toolset of audio editing, analysis and manipulation called Ocen Framework was created. ocenaudio is also based on Qt framework, a well known library for cross-platform development. Cross-platform support ocenaudio is available for all major operating systems: Microsoft Windows, Mac OS X and Linux. Native applications are generated for each platform from a common source, in order to achieve excelent performance and seamless integration with the operating system. All versions of ocenaudio have a uniform set of features and the same graphical interface, so the skills you learn in one platform can be used in the others. VST plugins support Ocenaudio supports VST (Virtual Studio Technology) plugins, giving its users access to numerous effects. Like the native effects, VST effects can use real-time preview to aide configuration. Real-time preview of effects Applying effects such as EQ, gain and filtering is an important part of audio editing. However, it is very tricky to get the desired result by adjusting the controls configuration alone: you must listen the processed audio. To ease the configuration of audio effects, ocenaudio has a real time preview feature: you hear the processed signal while adjusting the controls. The effect configuration window also includes a miniature view of the selected audio signal. You can navigate on this miniature view in the same way as you do on the main interface, selecting parts that interest you and listening to the effect result in real time. Multiselection for delicate editions To speed up complex audio files editing, ocenaudio includes multi-selection. With this amazing tool, you can simultaneously select different portions of an audio file and listen, edit or even apply an effect to them. For example, if you want to normalize only the excerpts of an interview where the interviewee is talking, just select them and apply the effect. Eficient edition of large files With ocenaudio, there is no limit to the length or the quantity of the audio files you can edit. Using an advanced memory management system, the application keeps your files open without wasting any of your computer's memory. Even in files several hours long, common editing operations such as copy, cut or paste happen almost instantly. Fully featured spectrogram Besides offering an incredible waveform view of your audio files, ocenaudio has a powerful and complete spectrogram view. In this view, you can analyze the spectral content of your audio signal with maximum clarity. Advanced users will be surprised to find that the spectrogram settings are applied in real time. The display is updated immediately when altering features such as the number of frequency bands, window type and size and dynamic range of the display.
