i was looking at 'adult material' and in one of the pictures, the watermark said 'neowin.net'. so i went to site thinking i'd get more pictures.. i searched and searched and there was none to be found. all my searching got me quite accustomed to the site and i grew to love all the techy news. joined the forums, and i've been here ever since..

btw, the 'adult material' picture i talked about earlier was of keldyn and timdorr. (yeah, it was cooool) :p

[edit: i just realized how gay i look in my avatar. . . ]:ermm:

I was gonna say the same... ahaha

that makes alot of us naughty by nature huh? :)

well... when i had windows 98 (back in the day!!) i was really interested about the new betas of Windows Me (pos), so i started lookign at loads of these windows sites, and beta sites on the net, i would look at loads (including neowin) that i found, this continued with other OSs in development, including windows xp, eventually i didn't even need to look at the other sites; neowin had everything they had plus more, so i just check here now :)

I remember coming here when this site was only just beginning, I only registered last year coz thats when the forums really took up, but been a "lurker member" for about a year or 2 before that.

This was back when IE6 was leaked, (way before iexbeta.com got on the scene) and i think this site if i remember correctly seemed to focus on windows betas.

At the time neowin was hosting pre-release builds of IE6 for Win2k, and this place seemed like the only place to download them from.

Been here ever since the beginning/early beginnings :D

    • You could disable this "functionality/feature/whatever" with 2 registry keys, ages ago.
    • My Photos app is version 2026.11050.1001.0 and it remembers the window size and position. My Snipping Tool is version 11.2602.49.0 and it can capture the taskbar.

    • On xiaomi hyperos there's also an option to disable google assistant. I've got everything disabled. Only thing I do have installed is a web wrapped for duck.ai which claims to let you use various AIs anonymously
    • I need to understand the rationale of not shipping all of these K2 improvements in a single update/release. It's giving "we will fix Windows 11 but no commitments". It seems to me that they just announce these improvements just to appease the community.
