Lacie FAT32 USB 2.0 External Hard Drive

Hiya I tried searching, I have got this drive to work under Ubuntu Linux and under my mates G4 Ibook laptop.

I have an edit suite booked for Tuesday (so answer fast plz) and it's either going to be a G4 (most likely) or G5.

I tried my external on one of the G4's a couple of weeks ago in the edit suite, it didn't detect it at all. I will try again on Tuesday but just wondered if I have to do anything "special" like enter commands in a terminal?

Btw I'm still quiet newb at macosx and I think the edit suite accounts are restricted.
