Westbrook 10th Eagle to Make Pro Bowl

Recommended Posts

Somebody care to tell me how the H-E-L-L Tony Parrish was left off the NFC roster and Michael Lewis made it instead?

Tony Parrish, 2004:

GP: 16

TKL: 87 (59 solo, 28 assisted)

SACK: 0.5

INT: 4

PASS DEF: 4

Michael Lewis, 2004:

GP: 16

TKL: 88 (74 solo, 14 assisted)

SACK: 0

INT: 1

PASS DEF: 11

Roy Williams, 2004:

GP: 16

TKL: 94 (73 solo, 24 assisted)

SACK: 0

INT: 2

PASS DEF: 8

Brian Dawkins, 2004:

GP: 15

TKL: 69 (61 solo, 8 assisted)

SACK: 3

INT: 4

PASS DEF: 8

I guess I'm missing something. I understand the team records, but the 49ers had one of the worst defenses in football, not to mention as a team they only had 9 picks and Parrish had 4 of them. Travesty.

Fans should not be voting for all-star games in any sport.

I don't think (I could be wrong) the NFL lets fans choose.....do they?

ESPN The Magazine did an article on Tony Parrish last summer and I could have sworn they mentioned that fans get like 1/3rd of the vote. If I'm wrong, I stand corrected and apologize...but my original statement still applies to the other sports :) We've all witnessed terrible all-star selections of players.

Either way, Parrish has deserved this for 3 years now.
