How do you make your gnome bar transparent?

but i'm noticed that in depends on what theme you're using , to make all parts of the bar transparent...

Just wanted to add that I just got a new LCD monitor and one thing I really notice with it is jpg artifacts. They didn't show up as much with my CRT.

Dude, right click the taskbar applet and go to the configuration. From there you can adjust the size.

I'd have to agree with hornett... It should be handled automatically much better than the screenie shows it being done. :pinch:

Yes it should be handled better, the default size is 50px. One of the many reasons I finally left gnome and went to KDE ( you can see by my screenshot above). Gnome is slowly stripping away all configuration options with each release. I was a long time gnomer, but I will never go back to that mess.
