Here's my new plain desktop :) First post in the desktop thread!

Desktop Environment: KDE 3.4 beta 2

Distro: Slackware 10.1 beta

Wallpaper: Breath with Ease by Lord Zany

Uses Mandrake 10.1 (Kde 3.2.3 i believe)

Uses Super Karamba for eye-candy : the menu to the right is a re-coded version of "fantastik" to suit my needs better.

not sure exactly where hte option is, its somewhere in kcontrol. i remember turning it on once. its pretty buried. somewhere in the kde components/konqueror section.

you need kde libraries to use it.

i heard you mentioned you use fedora, so it will work for you. for distros like ubuntu it wont(without downloading a ton of packages first).

one thing, have you enabled mp3 support in fedora? although amarok can play just about anything...

Yeah, its ncmpc, which is just a frontend to mpd. Get it from your distro's package manager, or look at http://www.musicpd.org/ for more info.
