eXeem 0.21 public beta

Against my better judgement i gave it a try. Oh how it sucks rats asses. A fair amount of the stuff on it (i tried searching for vst's, windows, a few movies and some other apps) and the versions (for the vst's and apps) were outdated on most. Plus, doing a goole using filtype:torrent "app/movie" will get more or less the same results. Nice try, but no biscuits for you exeem.

You're all pretty lame in my book.

The network is barely a month old, and you consider it ****? It is more or less the kazaa of bittorrent, leave it at that. Don't use it, or use it. Simple as that.

Try buying something once in your life and you may not have to resort to P2P applications because you are ass poor or just feel like stealing from others.

You are internet thugs.

Another note: The adware in eXeem has been taken out and replaced with html advertizements. Adware and advertizements are not the same thing, and if you think they are you are pretty stupid. Their advertizements are really the same as the banner ads on neowin now. They don't use any third party applications which can access your harddrive.

Well don't let the door hit you on your way out.

What would we do without captain obvious. It clearly states "removed mandatory third party software" which is in reference to previous bundled cydoor. But thanks for clearing that up, I almost forgot. We needed to be told we're idiot lamers to understand.

i like that exeems.com site.. i uploaded some links. :) mostly my madtv clips.

i dont like the fact that the ads, take up focus when they are refreshed.. argh. what are the hosts file to block these? the bottom one is flash the top is html? crapola, still exeem is very fast.

Its too late in my opinion for them to remove the ads....

Damage has already been done....

Theres no public relations in the world that could fix this mess...

Its over for Exeem. I have a feeling it(Exeem) flopped from the outset and there in damage control mode now

Dont anybody fool yourself into thing that theyve removed the ads for your benefit....Theyre making that move to try and get people to use there product, they definitely dont have OUR best interests at heart, there first and only thought is $$$$$$

Its a bit late now to reduce the damage, the partys finished so to speak, & everybodys gone. Just a matter of time before all concerned with the Exeem project slip into oblivion

Now would be a good time for Sloncek to request that song he had played at the radio announcement when they first announced Exeem to the public...

What was it called??...

oh thats right... :pinch:

THE FINAL COUNTDOWN...

{Hummed in the tune of "E" or "F" which means Exeem Flopped}

We're leaving together....

And still its farewell....

And maybe we'll come back...

To earth, who can tell?...

I guess there is no-one to blame...

We're leaving ground...

Will things ever be the same again??....

Its the Final Countdown...

Yes, I think a problem with a Kazaa-like system where people can keep tons of files shared without work (and risking getting a lot of this in your search results) is that it's inevitable your results will be cluttered mixed with highly rated trojans, outdated versions, etc. The more people will use exeem, the worse the clutter will get. It's good to have the categories in exeem, but I don't think it's good enough. Any well organized large BitTorrent tracker that may even be moderated will beat this system in no time when it comes to finding quality stuff easily.

Another issue with exeem is that it promotes minor variants that of course gets completely different hashes. One file may be packaged slightly differently than another, maybe just having a text file added to it to promote some site, and then people will get split on several different "almost equal" torrents (i.e. torrents that DO have the same thing) causing download speeds to suffer from seeds/leechers spread out on several torrents. On organized BT trackers, it's more common to get consolidated on just one or at most 2-3 torrents for popular stuff. Tracker operators can also moderate them and simply remove dupes that would spread out seeders. However, on the chaotic exeem network, nothing is saying there'll be less than 10 torrents for the same thing.

exeem still has spyware!!

they said they removed 3rd party software, yet if you delete client.dll(that's cydoor file) from it's dir, it will not work.

if you want to kill cydoor ads, add these entries to your hosts file

Lying sobs!!!!

They are lying to everyone.

Monitor this prog using firewall and it still calls cydor.

Also many of us have taken this prog apart and look what he found:

Anti Spy-ware programs no longer detected it because its part of the program now.

So they are lying to everyone:

This maintenance-focused release includes bug fixes, updated translations, and a range of safe enhancements. This release fixes a Windows security issue that could allow arbitrary file deletion during privileged cleaning (reported by Zeze with TeamT5). It also adds new cleaners (including a DNS cache cleaner, Claude Code, and Visual Studio Code forks), support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles, new deep scan options for developer directories like node_modules and venv, and safer, faster file shredding. All Platforms Added cleaners for Claude Code, DNS cache, and many Visual Studio Code forks. Added support for multiple Chrome and Edge profiles. Chrome can now clean downloaded AI models. Deep Scan can optionally remove venv, __pycache__, node_modules, and .angular directories. Deep Scan is faster by skipping directories on the keep list. File shredding is safer, faster, and leaves fewer recoverable traces. Improved handling of cookies, symlinks, Unicode filenames, external processes, and configuration files. Improved Expert Mode warnings and long warning dialogs. Fixed crashes related to cleaner detection, invalid Unicode, and malformed cleaner data. Clipboard is now cleared automatically after shredding files via paste operations. Linux Added AppImage support. Added cleaners for Visual Studio Code, Codeium, Librewolf (.deb), Transmission (Flatpak), and Profanity. Improved Linux trash detection, including Snap-installed applications and mounted drives. Fixed startup crashes when Python Requests is unavailable. Windows Fixed a security vulnerability that could allow arbitrary file deletion when cleaning with elevated privileges. Added %WindowsSystem% variable support. Improved clipboard clearing using native Windows APIs. Improved installer experience on unsupported Windows versions. Reduced installer size and improved application robustness. Fixed Unicode handling, filename anonymization, Git revision reporting, and splash screen stability. • DriversCloud 12.1.6 by Razvan Serea With DriversCloud (formerly My-Config.com), you can explore your computer easily, safely and free. The application quickly scans your PC and identifies the hardware and software components. DriversCloud then establishes a list of the different drivers compatible with your OS and hardware. Download the drivers needed for the proper functioning of your computer. To detect your drivers, DriversCloud also displays a detailed summary of your hardware and software configuration, analyzes your BSOD, monitors in real-time your PC voltages and temperatures and lets you share your configuration online. Once the hardware components have been detected, you will be able to obtain with just a few clicks the latest drivers corresponding to the identified hardware. You can record your configuration on the site for free, and can get the corresponding URL to post the configuration to technical forums, e-mail and social networks. You can also download the detection result (the configuration) as a PDF file. To protect the user's privacy and data confidentiality, a 4-level confidentiality system was created that filters the XML marks and gives control to the user. The default level can be modified in the preferences. Using the maximum level will prevent the user from publishing his configuration and generating a corresponding PDF file. In non-connected mode, each XML configuration is stored on the server for one day (for practical reasons). However, you are given the opportunity to manually delete it. Created in 2004, and continually improved, My-Config.com has established itself on the web as a free service to PC users running Windows and Linux operating systems. The service is designed to work with the most common Internet browsers (Edge, Firefox, Chrome, Safari).
