to get windows firewall again just go (start-run type in Services.msc and go down to Windows Firewall/Internet Connection Sharing ICS and right click, properties and under startup type. choose Automatic. and click the START button, let me know if this helps.

Tried that, it says somthing like 'the ICF/ICS shutdown, some services do this when they have nothing to do'

So i tried to turn it on through the internet connection settings and it gave me some error about sharing :(

Hey dude - I'm having a bit of difficulty - I'm going to bed in a min but I thought I might ask a couple things. How do you get that glass effect on the main windows like in the screenshots u referenced to. Also this is what my windows currently look like after doin the glass enabler... how do i fix it?

cheers.

post-97126-1108723927_thumb.jpgI'm having problems too. After I apply the glass enabler, the taskbar and sidebar react the way they are supposed to, but the explorer windows capture what was behind/in front of them (the wallpaper, other folders, etc. :( ). See the attached screenie!

A quick note to solarix about explorer crashing with glass enabled, you have to have the basket tile disabled, if its enabled it will send explorer into an infinite crash loop once glass is turned on.

EDIT: And oh the webview thing seems to be a side effect of glass without DWM, so turn off the webviews, heck it even tones down the explorer leak a bit.

Yah, ur right about the side effect! How do I turn off webviews?

I also get this problem when i activate DCE (see attached screenie).

System Specs:

Pentium 4 2.8E Ghz

NVIDIA Geforce 2 MX 400

512 MB DDR SDRAM

I tried updating the graphics drivers from NVIDIA, and directx to 9.0c, but that didn't work. The updaters fail. Any suggestions?

get a geforce fx5200 graphics card, its very cheap and it will get you what you want :)

Is it worth using this so called Longhorn.. I have seen it in the past but had no guts to using it. It looks awesome though. Tell me.. what are the advantages to using this LongHorn? and what are the disadvantages?
