(help) configuring grub boot loader

hello

I recxently installed SuSE 9.2 on my computer

it seems that the installation didint configured the boot loader well

as the windows partition wasent configured to boot

but it stil exists and it'S their

i need help on how to configure it so i can boot my computer to windows also

I have manually added the windows one and it need to be configured

(that is what i am asking help for)

here is the screenshot of the windows section that needs to be configured

the section namen the section type, root, kernel and the initrd came their per daulft when i pressed add to add a new section to boot

the section name and type can't de deleated but it can be modifyed

as for the root, kernel and the initrd they can be deleated and modifiyed

I can also ass more by pressing the add buton if their is anything else to add

What i am asking you is your help to tell me exactly how to configure this so i can boot my windows partition correctly

Your third screenie shows Windows to boot off of /dev/null which is about as close as literally nothing as there is in Linux.

The best thing to do is to edit your grub.conf file to have the following:

title WinXP-hda1
    root (hd0,0)
    chainloader +1

You might be able to do it through SUSE's GUI, but I don't know exact steps...
