do you have the latest tabsrmm plugin? (http://tabsrmm.sf.net)...if you have that, go to Message Window settings (under Message Sessions). Go to the Message log tab and check "Activate support for external log". Hit apply and you should be on your way (after you have a template chosen of course).

if you have SmileyAdd, you need to disable that as well

@Fizical: the pureplastics port is progressing nicely...and by nicely i mean .......................its being tested.....or is it finished? we'll never know (until i post about it again)

Hi all. Nice port.

Well, i'm very new to IEView. Can anyone explain to me whats that ? I will really love to use Smooth Operator. I know what is Miranda though. But what is IEView ? Why do i need IEView with Miranda for this to work ?

Does IEView only work with Mozilla ?

I have tabsrmm 0.8 installed but I don't see the Message Window Setting setting under Message session....why is that?....lol...

haha!...thanks...I got it working now...great....now I have another problem...a error message that says:

Critical: cannot load resource DLL (no icon will be shown)

can anyone shead some light?

--edit--

ok...never mind...I fixed it.....it's a great port..I love it...:)....btw...can anyone tell me how to resize my avanter?....like the one beside my text box...it's so.....large....is it possible to make it smaller?...if so..how?

I'm slightly new to this, but will it work if I have tweakui and adium+ running? I just installed ieview and had no luck.

read this guide, Brodel

@dark kyuubi: go to miranda options -> expand message sessions -> select message window -> tabs and layout tab -> where it says Icon DLL, browse for a DLL called tabsrmm_icons.dll which should be under the folder X:\Program Files\Miranda IM\Plugins\ICONSXP\ if you extracted tabsrmm into the plugins folder. X being your drive and Miranda IM being your root miranda folder unless you installed it elsewhere

EDIT: dark kyuubi, you can change the size by simply resizing the input area (drag the bar down)

I've never used Miranda before. When I was setting it up yesterday i couldt get to understand what IEView is. What I now know about it is that it's a layout plugin for the chat windows?

Well. whatever it is. I can't get it to work. I put the ieview ddl file and the folder in miranda's plugin folder and then load them in miranda. then restart the application and start to configure it in settings for miranda. Nothing graphical happens :s

help me out please.

Just out of curiosity, is it called IEView because it uses IE to render everything? It looks really purdy... but I'd feel icky about using IE for anything, even if it's just a harmless little instant messenging window  If not... wow, I would definitely give up AIM images/transfer for this...

It's only because calling to IE, which is completely integrated, uses far less resources than firefox would. Of course IE sucks ass for CSS and frames blow, but it's not like it really matters. It's all local and loads faster than a website, so there's nothing much to worry about.

wow! russellc, great job with your ports. Its going to be hard to choose between the two :p

The only thing I dont really like about this one is the way the time is but when I get home I'll see if I can mod it to my liking :)

Keep up the great work

Edit: Actually, the way the time is is perfect since I'm mot using message grouping.

I must say, this is incredible work. Worked right away for me out of the box. For everyone that's new, please read the guides that are posted throughout this thread, and well as the other Miranda thread in "Customizing Windows XP". There are quite a few links there that will help you get started.

Keep up the good work bro. Glad I could provide the mirror for ya.
