In pearPC even in the cursors you could see that is was lagging or in the status bars as well .. it took several hours to install OSX with it .. with this one I was already into the install rather quickly and the cursor animations were very smooth, although when I would click on the title bar you could see it was slightly laggy, and also if you move your mouse really really quickly you can see it lags slightly .. A hell of a lot better than my experience than PearPC so far.

I'm gonna see if I can get my PearPC image to work on this .. then maybe I won't have to reinstall OSX ..I'll post some screenies if it works

?? It seems like this software was virtually made for warez monkies :p

Hmmm maybe...

But Apple users seem to be the target market.

585588367

I really cant see why apple would fly off on one over this? Since when is it illegal to run a LEGALLY purchased copy of OSX on another architecture other than an Apple?

Its like someone building an alternative PowerMac surely? Would apple have the rights to 'sue' them because they've built a machine that runs their OS?

No Warez (links) & Cracks: help, requests or posts that discuss circumvention. This includes linking to illegally obtained software, movies & music files - posting about it, and suggesting to get it.

all this talk of torrents and downloading osx is against the rules. this is not up for public discussion. speak on topic or do not speak. simple. :)

the topic is discussing the software and its uses, not ways to boast about how the system is obtained.

Ok so it's just as fast (or slow) as PearPC?

585588501

LOL - Did you even bother to read what I put or any others? I found it slower than PearPC performance wise. Boot up just as fast (or slow). Go back some pages with that thing in your hand... its called a mouse (no jokes perverts) and read :)

No, why would I - too many more exciting things to do in my life? What does it say? If it shows that CherryOS is breaking laws or whatever, then fine by me... Can you show us the specifics pls? thx

Why would you? Becauase you "can't see why apple would fly off on one over this".

Since when is it illegal to run a LEGALLY purchased copy of OSX on another architecture other than an Apple?
Since you read their EULA. Why don't you go read it yourself if you're wondering all this. No one's got time, just like yourself, to babysit read it out to you.

Jeeez, what a nice guy you are! I only asked seeing as you seem to know so much, and obviously know what the EULA says, you could maybe enlighten everyone who is questioning / discussing this issue.

If its so clear cut, why is there discussion on the issue?

I need help. I get this error when trying to install OS X (Sorry it's big)

What I do to install it is get my drive ready out of CherryOS and then format the drive using the "Disk Utility" and format it to "OS X Extended (Journaled)". Those who made it please let me know what you did?

Edit: So far I am very impressed how it runs (It's pretty fast)

    • I wonder how many are laid off for cost savings, and this being blamed on AI to make it sound less scary and bad, for a more positive "modern, with the times" spin for investors? Because Oracle is down 14% the past year. We're looking at a company struggling here. If AI would actually be working out so well for them that they can do massive layoffs, surely this would've been reflected the past year in their stock value?
    • AI is the beginning, wait until real robots replace more jobs, specifically jobs that require physical work.
    • AI is indeed eliminating jobs, and Oracle just proved it by Hamid Ganji There’s no question that AI has become the hottest trend in workplaces, and every company is trying to adopt AI-driven solutions across its operations. While some industry leaders repeatedly say AI won’t lead to massive layoffs, recent data suggest that AI is actually one of the main reasons some companies are reducing their workforce. According to Oracle’s annual regulatory filing, the company has laid off about 21,000 employees, or 13% of its workforce, amid increasing AI adoption. “The adoption and deployment of AI technologies across our operations have resulted, and may continue to result, in reductions to our workforce,” Oracle said in the filing. The software giant now has approximately 141,000 full-time employees, a notable decrease from 162,000 during the same period last year. Restructuring expenses, including severance payments, cost Oracle $1.84 billion in fiscal 2026. Additionally, around 49,000 Oracle employees were based in the U.S., while approximately 92,000 were employed internationally. Like many other companies, Oracle has fully embraced AI and concentrated much of its efforts on the technology. The company is also a key participant in the United States’ $500 billion Stargate Project, which aims to build multiple AI data centers across the country. When it comes to AI adoption and its impact on the workforce, opinions remain divided. NVIDIA CEO Jensen Huang, whose company has been one of the biggest beneficiaries of the AI boom, recently said in an interview that attributing job cuts to AI is a “lazy” narrative. “The narrative that connects AI to job loss, for many of the CEOs that are doing it – it is just too lazy. AI has just arrived, how is it possible they're already losing jobs?” Huang said. However, statistics and recent reports tell a different story. According to Layoffs.fyi, 196 tech companies have laid off about 119,800 employees so far this year. Reducing staff and replacing roles with AI agents could become one of the most significant trends in the job market in the years ahead.
