One thing?s for sure, when this baby is more mature it?s going to be good... However, it?s a bit pointless (speaking in terms of productivity) running an emulated OSX on top of Windows XP if you think for a bit. But it?s good, clean f:). :)

I have access to an OSX disc, but I?ll skip this for a few months until it?s faster and better.

its not pointless at all. like i said in my previous post, my cd's are still "coming in" but if in fact it does have 80% cpu ussage, then my 2800xp w/512mb ram can outperform a mac mini 1.25ghz and 256mb ram.

it doesn't have anywhere near 80% performance.

And is it worth getting all the software you have in Windows in their corresponding Mac versions? To run them slower? No if you want to get a job done in a practical way, that was what I was saying.

You have to remove some options! mines took 45min to install (maximum indicated was 50 min and went down to 30 min in no time and then every min were displayed more slowly)

Okay I have the file ASTROAMATRO now. It is created right after you create a profile and start it (doesn't require OS X to be installed), and here are it's content:

pci_ide0_master_installed = 1
pci_ide0_master_image = "c:\CherryOS_HD\toxicfume\hdimage.img"
pci_ide0_master_type = "hd"
pci_3c90x_installed = 0
pci_3c90x_mac = "DE:AD:CA:FE:12:34"
pci_usb_installed = 1
nvram_file = "nvram"
pci_ide0_slave_installed = 1
pci_ide0_slave_image = ""
 pci_ide0_slave_type = "cdrom"
prom_bootmethod = "auto"
redraw_interval_msec = 10
 cos_start_resolution = "1280x1024x32"
prom_driver_graphic ="C:\DOCUME~1\xxxxxxx\LOCALS~1\Temp\ifrs_gkl.tmp"
memory_size = 0x20000000
pci_rtl8139_installed = 0
pci_rtl8139_mac = "DE:AD:CA:FE:12:35"
key_toggle_mouse_grab = "F6"
cpu_pvr = 0x000c0000

Familiar? ;) busted.

There you go! The ONLY reason many people get the illusion of this being faster or smoother is:

redraw_interval_msec = 10

that's a VERY important setting, and will determine the whole speed of the emulation. I thought pearpc was too slow to use when I had it at like 250 or something. Now that it's at 10 on my PC, it's actually very useable with smooth animations.

for those saying this is faster, set that setting in your PearPC, and then tell me.

Well, it comes free with a Mac if that?s what you mean... but not free to CherryOS users, I believe.

you missed my point:laugh::

anyway, since its illegal to install OSX on any computer not made by apple, and this IS a G4 and it IS legal, and apple includes a copy of OSX with every G4 system, technically> this should come with osx for free untill a court decides that it is illegal.

    • Looks like no official TBW rating, which should be a required listing in my opinion for sites like Amazon (hell, put it on the box too.)
    • I think I understood the article fine. Online password managers open users up to more possibilities of getting hacked, and due to KeePass being offline and local it reduces the idea of getting hacked. If someone chooses to put their database online they're kinda missing the point. With regards to the idea of the on-prem idea, I would have two issues. I'm not sure about the first issue, but I wouldn't be surprised about them offering a cloud storage for the passwords that most wouldn't bother to switch off, regardless of if they went for on-prem or not. The second issue is that the on-prem solution for Bitwarden costs money, whereas KeePass is free and open-source (as far as I am aware). The article points out how to sync the database between devices, and I recognise that deficiency in security. But it isn't a necessity. So both services can offer a same idea, but one is free and the other isn't...choices, choices.... But to each their own.

    • I am not surprised because life is the product of a lot of biochemical and physical processes that releases various energies as a by-product. The only thing new here is the detection of these photon emissions. The researches noted this "glow" is not a metaphysical one. They don't even immediately end when one is dead. Things like fires, light bulbs, and on a bigger scale stars release a lot more "light" and they are hardly alive.
