Question

okay I bit the bullet and I'm installing - but I've come across this and it's just stuck with the small circle thing rotating ... it started off having the apple logo but now it's got the circle with a cross through it.  Should I just leave it for ages and see what happens?

Here's a sreen shot anyway.... and no I'm not using a pirated version (before I get flamed)

Thats the Mac OS X "Prohibitory" sign. Are you sure you have configured Cherry OS correctly and are trying to boot from the Panther Install CD/DVD

Hey Everyone -

I get to where it would boot to install my OSX, and big big apple comes up with the thing spinning under it, and it turns to a big circle with a line through it and then it spins forever and never accesses my CDROM drive..?

Thanks,

Craig Beale

Why is this thread in 'Discussing Mac OS'? Could a mod please sift through the thread, and answer me one question. How many questions have been asked, about Mac OS X itself?

I've skim read through most of the thread, and when it's not talking about circumvention of Disc Images, it's small hints over piracy, or it's chat about a Windows Application. The bulk of conversation is about configuration, comparisons with another Windows App (PearPC), and error's found within CherryOS and it's conflictions with people's Windows installations. This thread doesn't offer anything to the parent forum it's posted in, and really should be moved to a forum, which is used to discuss Windows Applications, for which the application is in question is written for - Windows.

    • Less powerful than a PS5 at twice the price! I wonder if they use that for marketing? Totally DoA.

    • How does it compare to the "SeeStar S30 Pro" and the "Vespera PRO 2"?
    • Indeed. And note that those units are MUCH cheaper than this new Steam Machine...ahem.
