Hey guys, great looking desktops.

I just recently, got my powerbook and new to osx, so i'm new to customizing.

I just got a few questions, how did you get the drop shadow underneath the snyergy buttons.?

Also, is there anyway i can move around my icons in the system tray area.? (if that's what you call it).

and last one, How do i get it my drive on my desktop to display how much gigs i have left and in use.?

i tried right click and get info, but all it does is pop up a window, show the information on my drive..

Thanks guys for any help given, i'll post a screenshot pretty soon once i get my osx looking the way i want it too.

Press Command and drag it anywhere you want it. Drag it off to delete it.

View> Show View Options, then pick "Show Item Info", if you want the text on the right side, click "Right" under Label Position.

Could you post the texture ?

in any theme with metal to remove the brushed effect you will need

a) Themepark

b) Photoshop

in themepark if you want to edit the currently set theme go to File > New Theme or open a premade theme by open.

then go to Elements > Global Elements > Metal Window > Metal Window Texture

drag out the image onto your desktop, then open the TIFF in photoshop, or some other editor.

delelete the brushed part but leave the black color, make sure its a transparent bg. save the tiff and then drag & drop into themepark save the theme and then apply with ShapeShifter

[Edit]

To remove the brushed effect in iTunes youll need Themepark & Photoshop again.

go to File > Open Special > iTunes.rsrc

then PICT > 1024 (i think. someone correct me if wrong)

drag image to desktop, open in photoshop or another editor, delete brushed effect, save image & drag back into themepark. save resource.

in finder go to iTunes and control click then Show Package Contents.

go to Contents/Resources

drag iTunes.rsrc to a safe place incase you want brushed back. drag your modifed iTunes.rsrc into the Resources folder and launch iTunes... smoooth...

:: Create a new theme in Themepark.

:: Browse to the theme you want to keep and click Theme > Merge with Installed Elements.

:: Save your theme.

:: Apply the final theme.

:: Open up your saved theme.

:: Merge everything else with installed elements.

Thanks guys for all the help, i'm still trying to figure out how to get that shadow underneath the synergy buttons.

You want it or you want to get rid of it?

If you want them, install Windowshade X from Unsanity.

If you don't want them, turn off the haxie.

Thanks for the program, but i never said i wanted to get rid of it.. :ninja:

Well I downloaded the program, it gave shadows to everything else, except the synergy buttons

sorry if i'm being a bother about this, i tried goofing around with every setting and i still couldn't get it.

PS: Nice job getting that Apple reference to a non-existent and unrevealed product as "competition" in there. Cheque is in the mail.
