tktino
--------------------------- update.exe - Illegal System DLL Relocation --------------------------- The system DLL user32.dll was relocated in memory. The application will not run properly. The relocation occurred because the DLL C:\WINDOWS\system32\SHELL32.dll occupied an address range reserved for Windows system DLLs. The vendor supplying the DLL should be contacted for a new DLL. --------------------------- OK --------------------------- what should i do Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/296108-illegal-system-dll-relocation/ Share on other sites

John Veteran Posted March 13, 2005 Veteran Share Posted March 13, 2005 Stop reshacking your files! You'll get this message if shell32.dll is too big and thus takes up too much space in RAM. Run sfc /scannow and reboot, then you'll never see that message again provided you don't mess with your system files.
