Fil Posted June 2, 2002 Share Posted June 2, 2002 I got almost the same problem ... we've just got a PS2 - and were wondering whether to get a Gamecube or a XBox. My thinking is towards a cube as most of the games on the XBox are out for the PS2 anyway. Anyone got any other thoughts? (Sorry 'bout the thread hijacking but it's a common question here.) Dazzla Veteran Posted June 2, 2002 Veteran Share Posted June 2, 2002 The majority of games on Xbox are ports, you don't need to be any sort of fanboy to see that. If there are any exclusive games on the Xbox that catch your eye like Halo, then go for it. Personally I own a PS2 and a GC, there's a nice range of games between the two consoles and a lot of exclusives spread out between the two. A lot of the good games will appear on most consoles such as MGS2: substance, timesplitters 2 etc. Then come the sony and Nintendo exclusives which are pretty strong. I consider Xbox to be too similar to PS2 to warrant a purchase yet, I'm gonna need to see some more exclusives to see me parting with my money.
