Mac OSX and .AVI

yea goto versiontracker.com and u got to download a codec so it is called that converts divx avi's to mov. then something with mp3 audio :/

download avi2mov from versiontracker or just get cellulo which is an all in one converter and player

I use divxdoctor 2. Works great. But if the movie was encoded with ac3 audio, you have to take a little different route.

edit: I'm still looking for a solution to play .mpg movies on Macs though.

just use quicktime to play mpg

I had QT6. But it wouldn't play some of the others files right. Maybe I was doing something wrong. Is QT 6 supposed to play everything QT 5 does? Even though its in beta?

EDIT: BTW...is there anyway I could have QT5 and 6 installed at the same time? I guess I could always reboot to 10.2 to test QT6 :-)
