What theme is that russellc? I mean that visual style... it is for Windowsblinds or ?

could someone help me out please, I used to use miranda a while back and have recently installed it again. I have the clist_nicer and tweakui plugin etc and have everything setup, but for some reason I cant resize my contact list. I can add the resize grip indicator but for some reason whenever I resize it it just stays the same size

oh and on a side note, where is the option to remove miranda showing up in your taskbar (not the minimized one beside the clock, but the main bar where open windows are shown etc)

Yes, go to options > window > show as tooltip window or something like that.

OK Im at home and just opened my Miranda:

Options > Window > Tool style main window

Just check the option and it would be done.

i'm having trouble getting the customization going...i've got IEView, but it doesn't appear to be working...i have tabsrmm and i have tweakui.

I want to get IEview to work, but i'm not sure how...i enabled it in all the settings..but templates don't work...any ideas?

edit: nvrm, i figured it out

Wow, I love your setup. Would you mind sharing it?

Everything is standard, I just took away a lot of the toolbars and such, changed the font , colors to match the desktop. I don't remember the name of the icons they begin with proto, prob are in this thread. Because I got them here :) .

Oh, and welcome to neowin.

Thanks :) I've been browsing this board for months, but finally decided to post.

Question:

My contact list is setup using custom names for people to make it cleaner, in the message windows i want it to show the person's real name. I'm using IEView if that helps any.

If you already have custom names for your contacts, their names should appear on the Message window.

Like if you had a contact with the name 'xxxx' and you changed it to 'yyyy', then on your message window when you chat to them, it should appear as 'yyyy' and not 'xxxx'.

    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
    • Everything they say you can already do yourself on the registry by changing some things.
