Hey everyone, just installed Miranda tonight and love it!

I'm using RusselC's Modernclear as my contact list and absolutely love it and dont want to change it... thing is i'm having a really tough time finding a good IEView skin to match.

Would really appreciate any useful comments on this, already been right the way through the miranda library (11 pages) and couldnt find one that really fits this).

Cheers.

I put together a Miranda Package for someone and am wondering if anyone's interested in it, perhaps someone new to it. It has a good amount of what are, IMO, some sweet Contact List skins, IEView skins (Message log), and TabSRMM themes (Message Container). It is centered around minimalism and eye candy =P. Also, I found all of the icons within Miranda pretty outdated, so I imported a bunch of OSX icons, most are direct imports, others I slapped together myself.

PM me if interested, I can give further details as to the pre-configurations as well as a plugin list. Lastly, seeing as it's set to go, It would take almost no effort to switch the skins for someone that isn't familiar with how Miranda works.

^^ just put it somewhere, like Miranda directory, then go to

Options -> Customize -> Message Window Skin ->

Specify the skin's directory, and have it "apply skin now" You may also want to have "load on startup" option checked.

when i browse for the file it only views .tsk files but i can`t view .tabrsmm files ?

Oh, well I think that theme would replace an IEView theme, or you'd have to disable the IEView plugin.

Anyways, you can get to it by:

Open up a chat window, and assuming tabsrmm is set up properly, go to Container Options -> Window Size & Theme

Changed the Skin up and packaged this for a friend:

It's Miranda in it's entirety, It's ready to run, simply place folder in your Program Files folder and execute miranda32.exe. Or, place it anywhere you'd like, it'll run regardless. It is fully updated and comes with most, if not all, of my favorite Contact List/IEView/TabSRMM Skins. The package includes several protocols, the enabled ones: Yahoo/AIM/MSN/IRC, disable/enable at will in options->plugins. Also, cancel the first update check @ startup, seeing as you'd have to add miranda to your firewall exceptions first (after you sign-on, it should go on your firewall exceptions list).

Intended for beginners, completely customizable. In fact, the C-List @startup will look like this:

TwitterifficSkinDefault.jpg

and it is a slight mod of another mod =P

Use the PSD Files to customize the "Messenger"& "Status" text, or use a pre-made one within the Skin's "Image" Folder. Replace the iAvatar file with your own 30x30 PNG as well. The C-List Skin has a few hidden buttons.

Also, if you look a few posts up, I packaged that Adium-ish theme too

DL Link for that: http://www.mediafire.com/?mtsggymolyb

Though its not updated, seeing as a new update just came out a few days ago.

So I've been out of the loop on Miranda for a while, and just got back into using it. Is there any sort of "Now Playing" addon which can display the current playing track in my status (similar to the iChat/Adium functionality)?

Thanks in advance!

No problem! I can see that many have downloaded both, though no real feedback =P

I'm just glad more ppl are using it. It's an outstanding IM Client. I myself have switched to OS X primarily while still running XP every now and then, so I don't really customize it anymore, but I'd be more than glad to help someone tweak something.

I just recently installed Miranda after using AIM 6, Digsby, and Pidgin and only use it for aim. I'm getting a bit irritated now, it crashes on me so many times and over some of the stupidest things. Such as closing a convo window, crash. Close a tab, crash. Minimize to tray, crash. This thing cannot really be that unstable, it has to be something with my config, so I ask here for help.

Miranda IM Version 0.7.10

I use Vista, don't know if that matters or not.

Plugins Enabled: advaimg.dll | aim.dll | avs.dll | clist_modern.dll | ieview.dll | scriver.dll

^All latest versions.

Clist Skin: Pure Adium

Message Template: satin_protocol

Any help please?

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
