1) glad you like it :)

2) what do you mean by 'shortcut menu', do you mean a link on the right click menu, because im sure it wouldnt be hard to make one for you.

3) a lot of the addins were left out when raptor moved us on to v5 because he had to do it all himself and decided it was best.

If you would like to see some things back, just post a request thread and well see if we can do anything.

4) you can undo tweaks using the tweak undo tool in c:\program files\autopatcher\tools.

What I am meaning is to put links to Autopatcher into the "C:\Documents and Settings\UserName\Start Menu\Programs" directories where most other programs put themselves when they are installed.

Thanks for the tip about tweak undo. All the time I have used AutoPatcher I didn't realise that there items existed. I suggest links should include: AutoPatcher.exe

Registry Undo.exe

Hotfix Cleaner.exe

AutoPatcher Module Editor.exe

Tweak Undo.exe

Have a question. I'm New to this. Last month I downloaded AutoPatcher XP March full. I have not got around to trying it yet. I thought once I downloaded the full version there would be smaller monthly updates to it that I could DL. Note I'm on dial up.

Should I just down load the full AutoPatcher XP April 2ver or the lite version. can I use the lite version to update the March Full version to the Full April version or what??

Thanks,

Can someone add mirrors to the portuguese version plz??

It returns an error when i try to do the download from http://autopatcher.homerserv.net/AutoPatch...uguese_Full.exe

Any possibility of downloading from somewhere else?

the difference between full and lite is the number of tweaks and addons.

the lite version is not an update version, if you use the full version and want the latest copies of tweaks and addons you need to stick to 'full' downloads.

when we can we release the latest version as an update pack, but sometimes this is impossible due to changes to autopatcher and things.

The April release is a full release and is not an update to march.

Its best to remove the march release first.

Hi all....

Loving AutoPatcher - g8 job to all involved.... just a quick question.

.NET Framework SP1... is the service pack included in AutoPatcher ?.. reason I ask is because I just ran AutoPatcher (FULL - April 2005) on an XP Pro rig running SP1 and it didnt install service pack 1 for .NET Framework, I had to do that manually with my personal redist version, which is 10.2mb.

Was just curious if it is in there or not.

Thnx all... :alien:

Another Mirror for the English Version

AutoPatcher_XP_Apr2005 Full

AutoPatcher_XP_Apr2005 Lite

Don't forget to check the MD5 hash, value can be found on the first post.

This mirror will be going down soon. 500+ downloads has taken most of my bandwidth. :p

A a suggestion - would it be possible to provide downloadable md5 files to enable apps to check it, rather than having to generate my own md5 and manually compare the strings?

(Save As)

Thanks, but could that be embeded into the first post.

Maybe just turn the blue text containing the md5 string into a link direct to the md5 file.

I have already generated my own md5 and checked it visually against the list.

But for those of us who have automated checkers - I just have to double click on an md5 and verify file that way.

Much easier than generating my own md5 and checking it.

I downloaded the AutoPatcher installer, but didn't end up installing the program yet and Microsoft Anti-Spyware returned this:

Details: Messenger Plus! is an add-on for MSN Messenger. During installation, users may install an adware program called C2Media which is also known as LOP.com.

Status: Removed

Moderate threat - Moderate-risk items have some potential for harm, but may be part of a wanted service. Users may decide to ignore such programs after review.

Infected files detected

c:\program files\autopatcher\modules\msgplus.amc_files\msgplus.exe

Detected Spyware Cookies

No spyware cookies were found during this scan.

I don't use Messenger, but am very curious as to why this item is considered a moderate risk. Thank you. :)

Messenger Plus is a third party add on for MSN Messenger - it provides additional functionality such as desktop items, further status options, boss keys etc.

To fund MsgPlus, the ask you to install a sponsor program.

This program is voluntary, and is clearly marked in the installer unlike many.

If you choose no, nothing else is installed.

But many progams still class the installer as adware - as it does contain an adware component.

Its not a problem unless you install the adware with it.

And I am sure that autopatcher doesn't do that.

This will be confirmed by someone else I am sure.

^^absolutely correct :)

however its been taken out now in newer versions.

so AriKnight, either:

1) your a bit behind in which case download the latest version at the beginning of this thread

2) youve always installed new versions over old ones.

remember - if a new version mentions "update" in the thread title it should be applied on top of the previous version, however if it does not then its most likely its a new full version and the old version should be removed first.

    • Google are hyprocrites for signing this. They have been pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft, only they do it on Android and ChromeOS.
    • In some countries the law has forced Microsoft to display a menu on a fresh install of Windows which asks which web browser you want and it will install that browser. This doesn't add any bloat to Windows. It simply an additional step when setting up a new PC.
    • Chrome is also a first party browser on Android and ChromeOS. And on those systems, Google is pulling the same dirty tactics as Microsoft does on Windows.
    • Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily evolving the Windows Insider Program over the years, introducing new channels and testing paths that allow enthusiasts to experience upcoming and yet-to-be-released Windows features (some interesting hidden ones too) before they reach the public. However, one long-standing requirement has remained largely unchanged as users are generally expected to enroll in the Program and with a Microsoft account. That's where a third-party tool called "OfflineInsiderEnroll" can help. OfflineInsiderEnroll is said to be a lightweight script that enables access to Windows Insider Program builds on systems that are not signed in with a Microsoft account. Essentially the tool configures the necessary Insider settings locally and hence allows users to select and switch between available preview channels while continuing to receive builds through the normal Windows Update channel. If you are wondering how it manages to do so, it is made possible by a Registry value known as TestFlags. When configured to"0x20", Windows stops communicating with Microsoft's online Insider enrollment services thus preventing locally configured Insider settings from being overwritten. This allows the script to apply its own channel configuration directly through the Registry as Windows Update does not verify whether a device has been officially enrolled in the Insider Program or not. Previously the utility has had already supported the traditional Insider branches including Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. However following Microsoft’s recent restructuring of its preview channels, the script has now been updated. The latest OfflineInsiderEnroll version, 2.6.6, adds support for the newly introduced Insider channel lineup. As such, users can now choose from several Experimental channels in addition to Beta and Release Preview options. The update also retains tools for refreshing the Insider cache, resetting Insider settings, and completely stopping Insider enrollment when needed. Keep in mind though that will need elevated privileges when running the script (run as Admin). You can get the latest version of OfflineInsiderEnroll from this page on its official GitHub repo.
    • The "Classic" Outlook has done that for a few years as well. The option to even change that is really hidden away too... It really shouldn't be hard to respect user defaults. Sadly we are the product now, not Outlook. To change in the Classic Outlook: File > Options > Advanced > change "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in"
