Yes, and thanks again for the help with the torrents!

In the last month, it was only a download of the PTG full version.. I think that it's not needed to do torrents neither for the PTG nor for the PTB versions... Pleople don't use them...

How about english version, when it will be ready, and will there be an update, or just full version??

The newest version is ready to be released, it's just being propegated to mirrors.

There'll be an update version in the May release

Well, I hope noone gets mad, but the torrent for May has been uploaded, I am grabbing it right now, and uploading of course. :D I won't post any links to it on other sites just yet wait for you guys to do that, and by starting early I could have more done later down the road when the masses hit the torrent link.

*hides*

:ninja:

Suggestion to Raptor: Create a new thread for the May release, this one contains alot of info from previous released (like mirror pages) that is outdated.

I'd think it would be easier to see exactly what's what if it was a new thread.

The link is already on the first page :p

^^

it means youve extracted the may release on top of a previous release.

the may release uses AP v5.1 which *is* backwards compatable, but you generally cant drop it ontop of a previous release because you end up with multiple copies of modules due to 5.1's sub directory structure.

You need to delete your autopatcher directory (folder) and re-extract the may release.

no prob

remember the rule that you should only ever apply a new release on a previous one if the new release contains the word 'update' in its title.

The reason being, files may have been removed or renamed, and if you dont they will remain and cause problems, just like you saw.

Note, if you use 'update' releases you will still have these old files.

(I expect the may update release uses AP5.0 or does not use sub directories to get around the problem introducing AP5.1).

Sorry about the problems currently with my mirror everyone (as it's down at the moment). I should have it back up tonight and actually even more stable and faster than before.

You see, many months ago, when I was on shared hosting with a certain company (I wont mention their name), I soon realized that they weren't going to cut it, so I tried contacting them to cancel my account (and payments) by all possible means only to never find a reply. Thus, I had to hunt down their billing company that they use and have them manually cancel my subscription, which was good enough for me. The funny thing is, that it seemed as they didn't even realize that I stopped paying them, like a glitch in the system, as I continued to have hosting from them! I could do everything that I did before, except this time, all for free!

Well, I knew that AutoPatcher would suck up lots of bandwidth and since my main site was already on another host and working fine (with limited bandwidth though), I decided to only put the AP files on my "old free" host since I didn't care how much bandwidth was used there. This went on for several months with no problems that I could find, which I thought was quite hilarious, all except for today. It seems that they FINALLY realized I haven't been paying and deleted my account. :D

Of course, now I'm all the wiser and have a stable and speedy dedicated server in which I manage and thus, once I get a chance tonight to re-upload the files there, my mirror should be back up in full strength and with lots of bandwidth.

Anyway, sorry for the long story, I just thought it was funny. :) Enjoy.

Homer, I'm curious, where did you get that signature that displays your server stats in realtime?  Is it available freely to all, or did you code it yourself?  Thanks.  :)

Hehe one of my friends gave it to me, but he doesn't give it to many people (infact I think I'm the only one) :)

On a side note, some little prick leaked the link to the full edition which was still sitting on my server due to me being the distro mirror, and that sent stuff mad. Cheers whoever did that, you caused me a hassle throughout the night, and TP woke me up to tell me that httpd had died.

(not one of the other mirrors, somebody got wise I think)

I am seeding all 3 Autopatcher files over Bittorrent through my T1. This should attract more leeches which will improve download speeds which will attract more leeches... I've noticed poor download speeds for Autopatcher over Bittorrent in the past and I thought a little power might help win people away from the outmoded mirror system. Try the Torrent files first to keep the mirrors open for those who don't have Bittorrent (yet).

The "Update" version doesn't have the AutoPatcher.exe, it uses the old 5.0 present in the April release...

It only has the \modules, \tools and \translations...

Alright, I was just wondering to see if I could get one, but thanks. :)

Yea, my server also took a beating last night. Before I got some sleep, it nearly crashed and I had to reboot it (first time in a month!) and double-check everything. This is my first time back online for today, so I hope it's still OK... looks like over 300 downloads of the Full version on my mirror last night... heh. :)

    • I wonder if "put it back the way it was for decades" ever crossed their minds? 🤣
    • Rescind the stupid "Show more options" in context menus and just give us the full menu instead of adding more steps to get to what we want. The "simpler by default" makes me think they'll go in the opposite direction. Every context menu should have a configure button so you can pick and choose what options should be shown, I know you can do that with some registry fu but that shouldn't be required.
    • This is why competition must exist. Finally, pressure is mounting on Microsoft to move in the right direction.
    • Microsoft is making Windows 11's context menus faster, simpler, and configurable by Taras Buria Five years ago, Windows 11 introduced redesigned context menus, offering users a simpler, more modern design. However, customers quickly discovered that the new menus leave a lot to be desired. Many are unhappy with performance (they are really slow), while others dislike the double-layed design, where many options are hidden behind the "Show more options" button. In addition, over the years, menus became cluttered and overloaded. While Microsoft has already fixed plenty of pain points across Windows 11, context menus remain mostly unchanged. Fortunately, Microsoft is finally listening. Marcus Ash, Design and Research Lead for Windows at Microsoft, responded to a tweet on X, confirming that the company is working on fixing Windows 11's context menus. Reworked context menus are supposed to be faster, simpler by default, and "configurable to what you use most." What the latter means is unknown, just like whether Microsoft plans to keep the classic menu alongside the modern one, but according to Marcus, the wait should finally be over soon, as he promised to "share our approach soon." Improved context menus will most likely appear first in Windows 11 preview builds in the Experimental Channel. While we wait for Microsoft to release them, you can try fixing context menus on your PC with a simple tool called Windows 11 Context Menu Manager. It lets you disable entries you do not need, not only cleaning up context menus, but also making them significantly faster. Microsoft has already improved Windows 11's Start menu and taskbar, so hopefully it will address user criticism of the context menu as well. Stay tuned for new Windows 11 preview builds, which usually arrive every Friday.
    • If the drive/memory is soldered to the board, which it probably is, then it's a no from me
