Should I Get An iPod Shuffle?

Recommended Posts

If somethings overpriced, Apple will have a hard time selling them. The last time I checked, Apple was having a hard time with the massive amounts of orders. The point is, overpriced isn't something that is determined by just one person.

As for the shuffle, IMO, the best way to go is still the new iPod mini. $50 for 6 hour more battery life, a screen powering more features, and 4x the space. You might have to save up a bit thou - something worth learning to do IMO ;)

Well just like sony PSP or playstation even it cost 600 people would get it because its a playstation, the same thing happens with apple ipod its a recognized brand of course its a good thing but lets accept that its overpriced. Sometimes just look the mac mini they can tell me that its a very cheap solution but the money that i would spent in a mac mini i would get a pc with monitor anyways offers better value.

Lets accept that things cost more because its special if u get it its not because of the value of the product or because its cheap.

In my case i would like to see a company like iriver sells a mp3 dvd audio player that would be nice it would be a good alternative and to replace those old mp3cdplayers.

Exactly, I don't see why it's so hard for people to understand that.

Thats a lame comparision. Show me a mini-ITX based PC with comparable specs to the mini and then lets look at the price. ;)

I do understand that, if you read my post you would realize that. I know Apple hardware is overpriced. You aren't paying for features necessarily, you're paying for the brand, the quality and look/feel of the device (in the case of the shuffle) NOT JUST THE FEATURES, I am sick of explaining this to people who don't bother reading ****.

Not everybody uses the same criteria to choose electronics, brand name/image/looks DO MATTER, maybe not to you, but to other people they do.

You know, you do pay extra for a branded product. Its a fact of life. A 'better' brand would costs slightly extra. But thats different from 'overpriced'. Overpriced to me, and I assume to many other people is not 'I am not getting the best value, therefor its overpriced'. Yes, the iPod brand is strong, but do you think people would still be lining up to buy shuffles if it was say, $199 for the 512 MB model?

Okay, I've moved past the iPod Shuffle. Now what about the iRiver IFP795T . I've seen the 256mb version at school and everyone likes it, it even has an input port for direct recording! Is it good?
