A few suggestions ,and 1 question

Recommended Posts

1. a new forum called trash/closed - this can have all the the topics that were closed

2. people that have no warning, have more than 5000 posts, are contribute to neowin a lot should have a new tag, instad of stars they should have something like VIP :p for people like steven or that insanekiwi guy or that hypoxiaicon person

3. New forum about food - a bit of a silly suggestion but i like food/cooking/restaurants/and stuff like that

4. i hate people who post about new free things like iPods and free ds'sand psp's, most of these people, they see that there are many people on neowin, so they make an account especcially to spam neowin, and put there stupid refferel link

these accounts made just for this, should either be suspended or deleted

unless they are long time neowinians, which then can be a warningor whatever happens as usual

5 [question]. what do supervisers do, like joel, what is there job, what is the difference beetween super mods and supervisers ???????

1. Neowin already has a cemetary, but those are for topics that are against the rules/etc type of thing. I don't think though all closed topics should be moved there, it helps the topic starter understand why the topic was closed, maybe it was already a topic, and also helps others go to the main topic rather then making a new topic on that particular topic. If you get what I mean, may sound confusing, was just an example.

2. Not all people with 5,000+ contribute much to neowin, don't go by post count. Post count does not matter at all, it's the quality of the posts is what matters and should be looked at instead, but either way I don't see this happening. Useless to me.

3. Neowin is a tech forum, and should stay like the way it is. Too many forum suggestions lately, nothing is going to happen. Just my 2 cents, it is just not necessary at all, get a cook book and/or visit a forum for that specifically? Not much discussion I see on that as well, so it would probably be a dead forum/few topics. :)

4. Neowin moderators usually take care of this stuff asap, from what I see at least, use the report feature as it helps them a lot. I say let the moderators decide what happens to them, as the situtation may be different. I don't think just because one has been a member a long time, they should get special treatment/a warning, no one should.

5. Can't fully answer this but will try my best. Supervisors and Super Moderators have the same privilages except that supervisors can ban members and change members names. I'm guessing they also have more say then a Super Moderator does? Like say a Super Moderator closes a topic, the Supervisor has the right to overrule that decision, just guessing. Stuff like that? heh.

neomilan: you're on crack.

go play there. :p

anyway..no need for VIP. just subscribe and help neowin out. then you're vip :)

referral links, scam etc is being monitored, especially by me. if you see it, report it. a mod will take care of it.

5 [question]. what do supervisers do, like joel, what is there job, what is the difference beetween super mods and supervisers ???????

supermods can moderate any part of the board. along with a few other option at there disposal. regular mods stick toa section there assigned to.

Heres my opinions on the ones that can be answered by a none member of staff, the others have been answered by joel, if you understand that :/

    • Yes for me, I installed 'old calculator' (Windows 7 calculator) in its place since it is more useful to me. I think paint is the only one I left installed
    • eh I'll wait for the June 2026 MVS ISO downloads which should be coming out next Tuesday June 16 and possibly contain build 8655 instead of 8653
