Disabling memory tests at boot

Recommended Posts

Does anyone know of a way to disable the memory tests when the G5 boots? I know you could do this in OS 9, but don't know a way to do it in OS X. I have 2GB and I think this has a lot to do with why I have to wait for about a minute for my displays to even come on when I power up or reboot.

Click.

Edit: I think that was for OS9. :/

Yeah, it was, but that is ok. I have actually tracked my extended startup time to the fact that I have three displays hooked up to my Mac. WHY this increases the startup, I don't know; especially considering the fact that if you boot in verbose mode (to see the drivers load with text, etc), it doesn't seem to initialize the video cards until AFTER the grey Apple screen first appears...weird.
