lexor
I have canon bjc2000 printer configured under SUSE 9.2 and it works fine, no probs, except that the printing is as I said UBER slow. And it doesn't seem to be related to quality (draft/hq etc) or dpi (180/360). I got gimp-print dirver configured (which from what my research says is recommeded driver for my printer). As for a sense of how slow it is, a page that would take 23sec to print under winxp on standard quality, takes over 5min under SUSE (same qualty or even lower, doesn't matter) Help is really appreciated! /EDIT: if you guys need any specific info, just tell me where to look it up and I'll provide it asap. markwolfe Veteran Posted April 4, 2005 Veteran Share Posted April 4, 2005 I haven't. If this is USB, it may be because the driver just isn't well-written enough (companies seldom release a lot of information about their interface) And, it seems Cannon is notoriously bad for Linux support. From linuxprinting.org http://www.linuxprinting.org/suggested.html There are few good free software drivers for Canon and Lexmark inkjets. Do not buy one and expect success.
