That's ODD :o

I remember when the Cubs were playing the Braves the Sox fans were rooting for the Braves but when the Cubs beat them they were all saying "It be nice if someone from Chicago won the WS" .

I guess it all depends on where you live

Last year sucked for Cubs fans but the best thing that happened was when i bought a T-Shirt that said White Sux :woot:

@ LRoling - taking the train to the game is the way to go  Driving in traffic & finding parking is horrible. Who knows, i may of seen you a thousand times already :shifty:

Although sometimes i wish i would be a Sux fan, no problem finding tickets, cheap tickets, and plenty of parking :D

I don't remember that at all. What I remember is Sox fans openly rooting against the Cubs and for the Braves, then openly rooting against the Cubs and for the Marlins.

I remember reading an article about a Sox fan bar owner who was giving away a free round of beer whenever the Marlins hit a HR. After reading that, I was rooting sooooooooo hard for a 23-21 Cubs victory with the Marlins hitting like 15 HR but alas it wasn't so.

The thing that sucks the most about the "new" Cub fans is that it makes getting tickets soo much harder. Just before they've gotten on their current run of play tickets were always there the day of game and from scalpers for a "fair" price. Now, everything is sold out before opening day and don't even try to find tickets to Cubs-Sox (Red or White) or a late season Cubs-Cards game unless you're willing to mortgage part of your house or take in a renter.

me and my dad went there for the Cubs vs San Diego game last year and right after the game started we went the the box office and got tickets 3 rows up right behing home plate for face value... man you just got to know HOW to get tickets

White Sox fan all my life. I'm not a fight starter over the white sox v cubs thing, but I hate the cubs. Which even most cubs fans understand. It's just how baseball is in Chicago. Actually watching the Brewers come back in the ninth and take a 6-3 lead in the 12th over the cubs as we speak! But honestly to each his/her own.

Played baseball my whole life as well all the way up through High School and even played for a few traveling teams and played and won an AAU tournament in Illinois. Sadly I was offered a baseball Scholarship to a DII school in Illinois but the college I went to gave me similar money for academics and was a better school overall. When I was little (I think around 13) Ozzie Guillen hurt his knee and and his sons played in the district I played in so he would come to the games and hang out with the families. It was pretty cool.

ONly thing I really hate about the cubs is how rich the tribune company is and they don't put that money they make back into the team. Also the scalping the cubs do for their OWN TICKETS!!!!!!!!!

lol, i hated him too. you can't call yourself an athlete when you are that fat.

well, so far, starting out just like last year. wood/prior/zambrano/maddux will pitch a perfect game, and then the bullpen will blow it.

[sigh]....

that was a long game

did any of you guys notice all the sissies leaving early at todays game?

maybe they'll think twice about leaving early now :p

I'm usually one of the last to leave the games unless i go with my 4 year old son, i usually leave end of 8th/top of 9th so i dont have to wait an hour to get on the red line with him

    • Unofficial script lets you install unreleased Windows 11 features without Microsoft Account by Sayan Sen Microsoft has been steadily evolving the Windows Insider Program over the years, introducing new channels and testing paths that allow enthusiasts to experience upcoming and yet-to-be-released Windows features (some interesting hidden ones too) before they reach the public. However, one long-standing requirement has remained largely unchanged as users are generally expected to enroll in the Program and with a Microsoft account. That's where a third-party tool called "OfflineInsiderEnroll" can help. OfflineInsiderEnroll is said to be a lightweight script that enables access to Windows Insider Program builds on systems that are not signed in with a Microsoft account. Essentially the tool configures the necessary Insider settings locally and hence allows users to select and switch between available preview channels while continuing to receive builds through the normal Windows Update channel. If you are wondering how it manages to do so, it is made possible by a Registry value known as TestFlags. When configured to"0x20", Windows stops communicating with Microsoft's online Insider enrollment services thus preventing locally configured Insider settings from being overwritten. This allows the script to apply its own channel configuration directly through the Registry as Windows Update does not verify whether a device has been officially enrolled in the Insider Program or not. Previously the utility has had already supported the traditional Insider branches including Dev, Beta, and Release Preview. However following Microsoft’s recent restructuring of its preview channels, the script has now been updated. The latest OfflineInsiderEnroll version, 2.6.6, adds support for the newly introduced Insider channel lineup. As such, users can now choose from several Experimental channels in addition to Beta and Release Preview options. The update also retains tools for refreshing the Insider cache, resetting Insider settings, and completely stopping Insider enrollment when needed. Keep in mind though that will need elevated privileges when running the script (run as Admin). You can get the latest version of OfflineInsiderEnroll from this page on its official GitHub repo.
    • The "Classic" Outlook has done that for a few years as well. The option to even change that is really hidden away too... It really shouldn't be hard to respect user defaults. Sadly we are the product now, not Outlook. To change in the Classic Outlook: File > Options > Advanced > change "Open hyperlinks from Outlook in"
