Hum
Interesting article ... http://www.worldnetdaily.com/news/article....RTICLE_ID=43820 "Resistance to additional income taxes would be even more widespread if people were aware that: With two-thirds of everyone's personal income taxes wasted or not collected, 100 percent of what is collected is absorbed solely by interest on the federal government contributions to transfer payments. In other words, all individual income tax revenues are gone before one nickel is spent on the services which taxpayers expect from their government." "None of your income tax dollars ? which you "voluntarily" pay through force and coercion ? funds the government. This money, as well as the "withholding" stolen from you all year long, goes to the privately owned "Federal" Reserve Banking System ..." "The federal debt cannot be paid down, much less paid off. None of these alternative taxing schemes will make a dent in the expanding bubble that is going to burst because the banking cartel can't continue to prop up the debt load much longer." AND ... Tax Freedom Day is April 17 this year. As Americans put their income tax returns in the mail today, they can expect, on average, to work another two days, until April 17, before they've made enough money this year to pay their tax bi:unsure:ure: Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/308891-happy-tax-day-usa/ Share on other sites

FloatingFatMan
I don't get how the income tax system works in the US... Do you all have to do your own tax returns or something? In the UK, you only have to do this if your self-employed. If you work FOR someone, THEY pay your income tax out of your wages automatically and you never have to prat around with huge forms and 1000's of receipts for every tiny little thing you buy... But every year you file a tax return where your income is prorated against various deductions or additions and your "taxable income" is determined. That is the rate at which your "should have been" taxed. If you paid to much - refund. If you ended up earning more than you witheld for - payment. It is truly a bizarre and needlessly confusing process. Abolish the whole thing and go for a national sales tax. The people unite against tax systems everywhere!) Link to comment https://www.neowin.net/forum/topic/308891-happy-tax-day-usa/#findComment-585792966 Share on other sites
