Great-great-Grandma Takes Down Robber

Recommended Posts

 JACKSONVILLE, Fla. (AP) ? A man accused of bursting into a convenience store demanding money was in the hospital Friday ? shot, authorities said, by the great-great-grandmother working behind the counter.

Janet Grammer was filling in for the regular clerk Thursday afternoon when a man entered the store waving a gun and fired two shot at the back wall.

?I think he thought I was an old woman and would just give him the money,? Grammer, 64, said Friday. ?My life was at stake. I thought he was going to kill me.?

So she pulled a pistol out from under the cash register and fired once, hitting the man in the chest. He fell to the ground, dropped his gun and then fled, leaving a trail of blood. Grammer fired two more shots as he was running away.

The sheriff?s report said a man fitting the suspect?s description and injury went to a hospital a short time later. He told doctors he shot himself.

The man, whose name has not been released, was being treated at Shands Jacksonville hospital Friday for a wound to the chest. Police spokesman Ken Jefferson said the man faces robbery charges.

Grammer, who has 10 children, 32 grandchildren, three great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren, said she worried she had killed the man. ?All I could think about was his poor parents,? Grammer said.

Grammer said she never had to shoot anyone during her 10 years of working as a security guard. ?I?m sick over it. It was very upsetting. I?m not feeling real perky.?

Thats not physically possible. I doubt even 1 great belongs in that phrase.

Only way this could happen, think of it this way

She had child at 18

Child had grandchild at 18

Grandchild had great grandchild at 18

Great grandchild had great-great grandchild at 18

I count 76...therefore leading me to beleive she was a child prostitute, giving birth at 6.

Thats not physically possible. I doubt even 1 great belongs in that phrase.

Well if she gave birth at 16, and each generation also gave birth at 16 (or fathered a child), then you have a great great grandchild at 64. Impossible? Nope. Improbable, I hope so!

Holy ****!

64? So every generation had children at 10 or under? Think about it.. 10 children. She would NEED to have had those 10 kids by the time she was 16 in order to fit that 16x16x16x16=64 system. 10 kids take 7 years to produce. So she produced her first one at age 9... and her children had children.. hahaha damn.

That's hysterical. Good job granny.

Izolate, HUH???? Um if just her oldest had a kid at 16 and that one's oldest at 16 and so on, the remaining nine have no effect on how early or late she can become a great-great grandmother.

I know what you mean, but she has multiple grandkids, great grandkids and great-great grandkids. If she only had one of each, fine.. the 16*4 rule works. She has more though.. so she has to have had a few of her children at a very early age.. in order for them in turn have their grandkids (her great-greats) to be born while she is still 64

    • Too soon, I'm still not over this death!
    • Normally, I admit when a title is clickbait (unfortunately, it's become somewhat necessary in AI-dominated news sections today), but in this case, all supported versions is implied and doesn't need to be spelled out in the title. Of course, I'm covering a Patch Tuesday update but that is only available to supported Windows SKUs. All our coverage relates to supported Windows software and SKUs only unless we expressly state that it's "unsupported", "unofficial", or "third-party". I'm sorry, but supported/official SKUs don't need to be spelled out as such in every Neowin headline.
    • ALL versions or ALL SUPPORTED versions? Neowin does it again.
    • But the reality is it will work for people's needs, and they don't care about the technology that makes it. Clearly not everyone's needs, but that low end space where personal laptops were only used to type emails, watch content and browse websites, but they didn't want to do that on a small screen device. Heck, writing that out I can now see the connection and reason it'll do so well. Apple is about experience. If the experience is bad, they don't release it. Low end Windows laptop manufacturers up until this point have not taken that into consideration ever before, so slow laggy usage with brittle slimey plastic shells were common. I hope that the low end space at least creates better physical products that last a bit longer, and if Microsoft get their act together, they could also have a solid OS on such low end hardware that would actually make the experience work for what the hardware was intended for. The fact that the CPU is a "cellphone", sorry mobile phone processor is irrelevant. It's about the experience, and so far, that sounds quite solid.
