Show your Opera 8 browser layout

I really don't understand thea ppeal of Opera, it is soo ugly, it feels like internet explorer with an ugly skin :/

Here's mine.

I love keyboard shortcuts, mouse gestures, and the panel (which is hidden in this view) for getting around. I have little use for toolbars as such, then. I guess I'm what they term a "power user." :)

nice setup, how do you get other toobars onto the same 'row' as the standard menu items like file, edit etc?

i just have the default setup with a different skin for now :)

it's not the real menu, because Opera doesn't allow to place stuff on the menu bar.

so those are custom buttons which show the menus

but i can hardly tell the difference except that keyboard shortcuts like alt+f to open the file menu won't work.

place this in your toolbar ini file under the [Customize Toolbar Custom.content] section:

make sure the numbers of the Buttons don't clash with other custom buttons.

so if the last button in your file in that section is called

add them like this

show the mainbar then remove everything from it then drag everything from the address bar onto the main bar. Finally hide the old address bar and your done.

I changed mine to the Sofa King layout since it mimics Safari. The ad bar definately is an annoyance but the affiliate program will take care of that! :cool:

How do you guys move the tab bar below the Nav bar? Also, is it just me or does opera freezes for a while when loading newsgroups? (No problem in OE)

Right-click one of the toolbars > Click on "Customize..." > Check the box saying "Show hidden toolbars while customizing", near the bottom.

You can then drag stuff onto it like a normal toolbar. (Y)

Preferences > General > uncheck "Show close button on each tab" about half-way down.
