sorry about that, i should have said this

microsoft will most likey not let sony and Nintendo use windows media player, but they could make a deal with a diff media player

Of course they would, its a big bragging point for them and spreads there media formats further.

Microsoft's aim is that you will be able to do everything, and anything, from anywhere. This means integration. Their dream is to get the XP system out of the office, and into the living room, den, dining room, kitchen etc. To help them along this path, the 360 should be compatible with XP in some form or another. However, the question is whether you will need to buy more windows products to run on 360. Perhaps you will need to buy a media center to record/watch video onto the 360 (you could just use the media center lol). I wonder if Vista will include the ability to completely connect your systems to each other (assuming that XP wont)

I'm glad i have MS Media Center 2005 since it will go nicely with the 360 :D

It was mentioned originally when the specs were first annouced and I felt the same, but somehow its been forgotten about,

We couldn't just go with one 60mm fan because it would not provide the required cooling?as the diameter of the fan increases the air flow performance per revolution increases exponentially. So we ended up putting in two 60mm fans, and we came up with a water-cooled heat sink as well for the CPU. We've actually applied for a patent on that one.

The water cooled term is being used loosely; actually it is a heat sink constructed of a copper base, aluminum stamped fins and copper heat pipe. The heat pipe contains water and a vacuum is pulled on the pipe prior to sealing.

ive heard that if you want to use the 360 as an extendor you will have to have a Media Center PC, also if you want to browse your Music collection on your PC you will also need a Media Center PC

You need to install something on XP to make the music and photos available, but its a free update that Microsoft released on Windows Update not long again as far as I remember. Video requires Media Center.

Edit:

Just watched the video of... Major Nelson? Showing off the Xbox hardware, and I was wondering if you can plug the removable harddrive into a computer? It didn't look like it..

It's not really true liquid cooling. Just heat pipes in the heatsink.

Holy SH*T. You've gotta be kiddin me. $ 700.00 for a console game platform. When the XBox came out I got it for $230.00 with 3 games, and the X360 is now 3 times as much.

Inept analogy for the following reasons:

|free XBL trial.

|it includes 4 games not 3.

|2! Wireless controllers.

|play and charge+extra battery pack.

|Vastly supirior(sp?) gaming console with cutting edge tech.

|20GB instead of an 8GB harddrive.

|Media remote.

|Headset.

|Highdef cables.

|ethernet cable.

|3x230=roughly 800

|4 games+extra controller+play and charge+battery pack+premium console=$800. Your getting a deal here and you don't even see it.

In conclusion, shut up.

    • Windows 11 KB5094126 BSODing, freezing, forcing BitLocker lockout, breaks OneDrive, and more by Sayan Sen Microsoft released Windows 11 KB5094126 and KB5093998 last week as the latest Patch Tuesday updates. Following that the company also published the accompanying dynamic updates under KB5094149, KB5095971, and KB5094156. While Microsoft has so far not acknowledged any major problems with the release, some users online are running into problems. These range from OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, BitLocker recovery lockouts, to blue screens and BSODs. The most common one seems to be happening with HP systems wherein affected users say they hit 0xc0430001 BSOD (blue screen of death) error code after the KB5094126 update. We wonder if this could be related to the recent bug we covered on HP devices wherein the ongoing Secure Boot certificate updates are leading to similar issues. While we are not certain, users affected by this issue likely need to ensure that the boot.stl file is included on the installation media (such as a USB installer or ISO), if the above-mentioned dynamic updates are deployed. If this file is missing, computers may fail to boot from the installation media and could display the error 0xc0430001. This STL file is used by Secure Boot to verify that the boot files are trusted, so it must match the same Windows version and system architecture. To ensure the file is included, Microsoft recommends using the Update WinPE script, which automatically updates the image and handles the required files. Alternatively, you can manually copy the boot.stl file from the Windows\Boot\EFI folder on a Windows device and place it in the matching folder on your installation media before deploying the updated image. Aside from blue screening some users also note their systems have been freezing following the update. This could be happening to Lenovo PCs specifically. In the case of the OneDrive and Dropbox access issues, a user figured out that there could be a conflict with UAC. He explained: "Okay, so I did some digging, and in our environment KB5094126 breaks OneDrive and Dropbox in Explorer. I went through all our GPOs and found out that the combination of disabling UAC and having my user being a local admin breaks OneDrive in Explorer. ... If I enable UAC again, then it works, even with KB5094126 still installed." Hopefully, Microsoft will look into these issues. • It is when it's a desktop in my house though for a PC that's lightly used and not really important when it is. If it was a laptop, it would be a different story. The real solution is varied and begins starting at post #22 in that thread.
