How to get your warning level down?

Recommended Posts

I've posted a suggestion to re-add the level.

Only viewable warning level would be yours and it would be visible in your post details and profile.

You would be the only one to see your level. (besides staff)

Thank you, I think the point that needs stressing is the fact that ONLY YOURSELF Can see your level, including members of staff.

Thanks again. :)

Yeah since we love to abuse our powers all the time.

Why do people think that??? ****ed they got warned for breaking the rules?

I've searched a lot of warns and never once did I think it was an abuse of power.

People think we get off doing it. I love it considering I find it the most tedious and annoying thing to do. I'd rather people stopped being ######, but, alas, we are stuck withthe stigma of being on some kind of "power trip".

Yes!!

I was contemplating deleting this account and signing up as y0sh. This is muuuch easier.

Thanks so much man.. again. :p

Ok, I will. :)

That would actually be against the rules, so thank you for going about it in the manner you did.

starting that thread about how long you have been at neowin won't help

Awesome.

Guese I'm stuck with this name forever and ever :(.

Yeah a few crybabies bitched till it was taken away, they didn't have enough sense to realize only they could see there warning level. I liked it myself.

If it will never drop, and has no other purpose besides the dreaded "E-Penis" syndrome, then there is zero reason to see it. We can't change it, and it is more for Staff to notice patterns of behaviour than for us to enjoy as eye-candy.

Calling members crybabies, makes me wonder what YOUR warn level is/should be.

I'm cool with the idea, as long as it IS NOT on every post. I loathe that!

If conforming is what makes you happy.

Perhaps he just gets a kick out of being respectful. Perish the thought. I was a member for 3 years before being a staffer and I never received a warning either. I guess some people have the ability to act maturely and enjoy discussion.

    • Looks like the 7.1 is fake effects, can it at least do real 5.1? It says 'virtual 7.1' in all descriptions.
    • You can't, if you didn't notice, it doesn't support surround at all, it's right in the spec list.
    • Hi — I’m always interested in soundcards. Like displays, I just want to know I’m getting as much clean “sonic juice” into my brain as possible as the years take their toll. I’m not entirely sure what to take away from this review, though. It doesn’t really tell me whether the AE‑X is a good product or who it’s actually for. Most of what I’m getting is: there’s a driver to install, here’s what it looks like, and here’s what’s in the box. There’s a lot of emphasis on the SPDIF input. When you mention not needing to switch headphones between console and PC — does that mean the PC has to be powered on just to pass audio through? That seems like a fairly big waste of energy. Is this more something a streamer would use alongside a capture card? How are you testing the sound? (Also, you might want to clarify that you’re using the headphones in wired mode when you mention they’re wireless.) You mention the lack of EMI shielding — how much real‑world difference does that make compared with typical motherboard audio? On multi‑channel: what exactly isn’t supported? Does this mean Windows spatial audio (Dolby Atmos for Headphones, DTS Headphone:X, etc.) won’t work, or just that the card itself doesn’t decode surround formats? And are there any true multi‑driver “surround” headphones left that would even use that? You also highlight support for high‑impedance headphones — but what does that translate to in practice? How does it compare to driving the same headphones from a normal device, and does it make any difference for everyday, lower‑impedance models? In short, who is this card actually targeted at?
