How to get your warning level down?

Perhaps he just gets a kick out of being respectful.

Yeah a few crybabies bitched till it was taken away, they didn't have enough sense to realize only they could see there warning level. I liked it myself.

Cody

Sorry to disagree, bangbang023...but if THAT is respectful then I should be an Adminstrator by now

^ That's a 26 page thread in which we first were able to see our warnings, which it seems Redmak enabled at the suggestion of a member who is now banned.

It should be noted that the biggest opponent against the warnings on each post is the man I like to think of as the member most experienced in all things Neowin, a member who was one of the first 350 members of this place, who has been here since around the second month of this forums existence, who has in excess of twenty one thousand posts, and is also the top poster here at Neowin: Steven/xStainDx

Now i'm interested...  What is my warning level?

If you've never recieved a PM from a Mod, SMod or Admin, then yours is at 0%. They tell you when you've been warned and why.

Cody

From what I know of-I've gotten 2 PMs about my warning level being increased-What would it be at-If I've gotten 2?

585825808

I think they should tell us not only when we're warned but what % it carries. I wasn't aware that you didn't find out what % point the warning carried.

Cody

That'll learn ya.

But onto the pressing discussion at hand. Warning level's should be viewable to people who want them. The easiest way todo this is to create a topic saying that you can now view your warning level's in the following places yada yada yada if you wish to have this feature activated please PM a moderator/super moderator/admin etc.

Then the people who don't want it don't have it and the people who do, do.

Edit: I was just wandering. So it's against the rules for us to sign up and create a new account if we don't like our nickname but are unable to have it changed.

I have been here for quite a few years now, and believe mine is still at 0%, but it makes me think have I or haven't I. I respect this place, and the people who run it, stick to the rules, and you can count on that you will be fine.

JMann

Does a warning level even matter then? From what I gather in this thread, it's just for show lol.

585825854

it really means nothing in my opinion. especially since we can't even see our warning how is it any type of punishment so to speak.

i've been warned a few times, but i know my warning has been lowered atleast once. but that in no way changes how i act or say things on the forums.

regardless of your warning level the mods or admin will ban you whenever they see fit. so i think it's just a waste of time even bothering with them or caring what % you are at.

Edit: I was just wandering. So it's against the rules for us to sign up and create a new account if we don't like our nickname but are unable to have it changed.

585826172

Correct.

No alternate accounts are allowed. Should you be disciplined with a restriction or ban, you are not allowed to open a new account to obtain freedom to post. Restrictions and bans are given for a reason, and usurping that ability by re-registering is not tolerated. If another account is opened, that account will be banned immediately, and the original account will be further penalized. Anyone who has warnings on their account are automatically excluded from changing their user name.

If you read what was posted about the suggestion the warning level will not be in every post, only in the members profile.

Either way I could care less if it was posted or if it was hidden.

Baaaaaaaaaaaaad lyle, didnt know you were like that .

warning 5: bangbang finally having enough of me.. and deleting me all together   kidding :p

I realy wish there was a way to get it lowered, I mean come on we all make mistakes and most of use learn from them and we should be givin another chance to redem ourselves. I so do not want to be stuck with this name forever...Damn it :p.

well... you need to look at it from a mods perspective. me not being a mod.. results may vary LOL

there is a TUN of users.. and a small percentage are trouble makers. example, someone the other day, kept spamming his dumb free money threads. and they ended up banning the first user, and he made a new account, spammed again.

if you were a mod.. i dont think you'd want to warn the same person more then once. it is there job, and i respect there decision... but it's not easy reading threw 4,000,000 posts, and cleaning out the bad...

    • Forza Horizon 6 gets another hotfix for one of the game's online modes by Taras Buria Recently, Forza Horizon 6 players discovered an interesting glitch that allowed farming a crazy amount of in-game credits in a few minutes. Playground Games quickly pulled the plug on the exploit by disabling one of the game's online modes, and today, the studio is rolling out another hotfix. In my review, I complained about the game still showering gamers with cars, credits, and wheelspins. As such, earning money in Forza Horizon 6 is not a particularly difficult task. You simply have to play the game, crazy, I know. However, people still found an easier path to becoming a billionaire in Forza Horizon 6. All you had to do was purchase the Hummer EV, install a specific tune, shift in reverse while going at about 15 MPH, hit a wall, and get launched into the stratosphere at the speed of light. While mid-air, launch Eliminator and quickly get eliminated. Boom, the game just awarded you with a few million in-game credits. Initially, Playground Games disabled Eliminator to prevent people from farming credits. Now, following the release of the first balancing update, developers are rolling out a new update that re-enables Eliminator and gives users a free McLaren Sabre as a gesture of goodwill. Here is the changelog: One critical issue remains unpatched, though. There are quite a few reports of the game wiping gamers' saves, and developers are still looking into that. To avoid potential data loss, Playground Games recommends taking one of the steps outlined in a previously published support article.
