Modem Drivers 4 Linux

Im using SUSE 8 Pro, and my modem: Diamond Multimedia 56ki V Pro, was not detected, i need a way for it to be installed or some drivers. I spent an hour or two scouring the net but to no avail. Could someone please help me out or point me in the right direction?

BTW the modem i think is a softmodem with rockwell chips on it, and it's internal PCI.

Good luck. Chances are it's a winmodem, and if so, you'd just save yourself a lot of grief by buying a controller-based modem from 3Com, or I believe ActionTec has a series of modems built with linux in mind, not as a afterthought, like with most companies. Anyways, good luck again.
