good for him, but this thread is about his skin  na just kidding :p

alright... this is gonna be a little lengthy so just give me a sec, but i hope to address any problems anyone is having, so here goes...

The extra space between contacts is caused by the rounded selection box, im pretty sure i made the gap as small as possible, but ill give it another look.

i must make an apology to those few people that did read the installer yet couldnt remove the banner, it seems the function that removes the banner works for 99% of people and for some reason the remaining 1% it causes problems, so im gonna have to do that a little differently.

Offline status for small DP's or no DP's in the CL it seems i over looked, if you check out the Large DP's in the contact list its quite clear so thats a problem im gonna have to fix.

Tabs i decided to remove because nothing i did made them look any good. However just after i released Wave11 i had an idea of how i can inlcude them, so expect tabs to return in my next verison.

The six colours ive included were only intended as a base for a first release, i didnt tell anyone but i intended to include extra colours in the next release, so if you've got any requests, open PS and give me a mockup of your desired colour. If your prepared to make that effort, ill consider including it in the next release.

I must ask, those people that wish to edit Wave11, please dont make your changes public, they are for your personal use only.

I finally saw what people meant by the Contact names in the To bar getting cut off today, so im gonna try and fix that but since this is in the original messenger and everything ive done dosnt look any better, im not sure how it'll turn out.

Currently if i left the background feature in the Convo window it would took terrible, but i plan to fix that up so backgrounds work again and look reasonable. But i cant imagine why you would use them, because unless it was a light shade of grey no background would fit the theme.

Ive also found a few extra thing that i missed, so those will get changed aswell. If you havent seen them up until now, dont worry they're purely for my satisfaction.

Finally, im trying to give people the option to simply change the colour without having to uninstall and re-install so i expect that also will be ready for the next release.

Thats it from me now, if ive missed anything please let me know, after this next release i dont intend make another until messenger gets updated so i need your help to make this release as good as possible.

thats another feature i removed because it looked out of place. Ill try and find a way include them, but personally i think they're useless so it really depends how good i can make them look. I do have an idea tho... just came to me :) , you might see them back soon.

i dont know where you are planing to put the tab.. but i thnk it would bea great idea if you put them in the top like the e mail link or the msn today link.. in that row cuz other way would be like the "real" wave 11 pic we all saw.. witht eh semi trasparent colum for the tabs anyways your skin rocks!!!

Suggestions:

Overall i love the skin, but some things i'd like:

1. Mouse over changes on things such as the icons and emoticons in the contact window, also the icons on the main window.

2. Some skins without gradient effects. same colours, just no gradients.

3. Some dark grey skins.

Nice info on the latest post there dude.

Yea I agree with the spacing between contact names (I have quite some friends there, and the list just looks huge now because the spacing is too wide :))

But I don't like complaining and non-appreciative to your work. Other than that, I'd just say, keep up the good work !! Be waiting for your next update!

this is obviousely something ive gotta spell out three times over. The MessPatch and patches like it simply cannot work with Wave11 (80% of features anyways). The ammount of stuff ive changed, and the way UIFILE's are for end users prevent patches like the MessPatch, A-Patch and Ghost from working. I know because i helped put the MessPatch together. Its for this reason I included the options in the installer, and its for the same reason i havent included extra options.

i quite frankly dont care if you dont wanna use the skin because you cant patch it, nor to i care if you think another skin is better. Im trying to help those 20000+ people that do make use of Wave11, to make the next release as good as possible for everyone. If i find a way to add extra options i will, but no ammount of complaining is gonna help that along.

@maulia and others like... i appreciate that kind of feedback, its people with constructive critisism that i want to hear from.

now... suggestions anyone  ?

this is exactly the kind of feedback i need to make Wave11 better, critisism with suggestions of how to improve. So if anyone has anymore, please let me know.

As for the suggestions, the gleam will return as will tabs. I have very little control over the nickname and DP, so im not sure i can do anything about that. And a little separator between colours, im not sure... ill see how it looks.

i've been using wave11 since it was released and loving it! i have a color request for ur next release attached! it matches with xidg soapsky vs which is what im using ><;

it will be awesome if u could include it in the next release! CHEERS?:blush:h:

I like it, so im pretty confident you'll see it in a week or so. Ive had one request at mess.be, and a black-dark grey gradient, so ive got room for upto 5. But i need suggestions.

    • Thanks for liking it! 😊 That's Arch Linux with Gnome.
    • LOL. Can't even quote and edit a comment correctly. Figures you're a Linux user.
    • It won't perform hugely better than the 3080 unless you're VRAM limited in games. Have you tried putting new thermal pads on them 3080 and giving it a good clean to see if you can regain your temps and overclock?
