If I were to take a gamble on what happened it would be DNS poisoning, I really doubt that Google's actual site has been hacked.

Its not hacked..A server or something could be down and that is what its defaulting 2.

besides why is ONLY HE getting it. Maybe that is what his mac defaults 2.
