I think I will add it back. It is pretty easy to remove it if you don't want it. Just remove the welcome screen in user accounts on the control panel.

And also. I started working a little bit on the black version. After using it a while it got pretty depressing though :p

Black is kind of a depressing color, but if you want to be the hippest guy in the screenshot thread black is the way to go ;)

Or if you're a goth kiddie you'd love black as well..

Personally I would try out black for a while (as it is nice with different colour schemes for variation) but I would not stick with it ;)

Bring back the old PROGRESS BAR!

and no i don't think the userimage is that important.

The new progress bar really detracts from the smoothness this vs once had. It now looks like the progress bar on thousands of other vs's. Pretty common, and not very "smooth". This is still a nice vs if you stick with version 2.5x. JMO

yeah em3, i've been 110% supportive of the quality of this theme up until the new progress bar which is sort of distracting now because when i run opera, the text on top of the progress bar makes it all jumbled and not as aesthetically pleasing anymore...i can live with it, not that major either but this is IMO as well...

i was wondering, is there anyone out there without this "java" issue? if so, speak now, this could be like a pin point problem only affecting certain users...so if u dont experience the problem, are you running win pro or home, or any other?

I have the problem. Windows XP Pro, Java 1.5.0. When I launch most Java2 apps, I get a crash and an error pointing to not being able to get information on the progress bar size. If you can fix it, cool. If not, I understand.

I love Luna Element.

Another vote here for the old progress bar. It's more accurate and aesthetically pleasing than this new one. And if you made a black version of this VS, I would probably never, ever, ever, in a gazillion years change my VS (as long as I have XP :D ). This VS is the only one that I have been satisfied with for more than a few weeks. The others just got boring after a few days and I never got to changing them.

Stop giving me crap for the new progressbar people. :( Many of you where complaining about the old one to when I introduced it. When I first posted the screenshot of the new one everyone was impressed and thought it looked good. I like it myself and I'm not changing back because imo the old one sucks.

I appreciate everyones oppinion and comments about everything regarding the theme, but I am the designer here. :)

Hey em3,

Well by george...as you know per our PM discussions, I could not get the Java Control Panel buttons to properly show up with LE2 or LE3...even the latest version 3.05...As I too just formatted my system (WinXP SP2 yesterday), and tried every combination of Java-Sun with a combination of various 'uxtheme.dll patches...no success

But I just D/L the 'Luna.msstyle test' and to my pleasent surprise the Java Control Panel Buttons now display properly...:) Thanks again for your dedicated, hard work on a very pleasing VS...

 ;)

I liked the new progress bar, it looks very good here in Firefox, and many other stuff.

Unfortunately, my BitTorrent stays ugly with this new progress bar, as there is written text above it, and in the previous bar it stayed excellent. I always loved the old bar, and I didn't ask you to change it to a new one, just fix the old bug, that used to be fixed in LunaElement2

    • Save 35% on Sony's SS-CS5M2 3-way high-res bookshelf speakers by Taras Buria Sony is currently offering a big discount on its SS-CS5M2 bookshelf speaker, saving you 35% on a set of high-quality audio equipment. The SS-CS5M2 is a passive 3-way bookshelf speaker with a 5.12-inch woofer, a 25 mm soft-dome tweeter, and a 19 mm super tweeter. This design allows different drivers to handle different parts of the sound spectrum for a clearer, more detailed audio when watching movies or listening to music. The compact cabinet size allows you to place these speakers on shelves, desks, or stands, making them a practical choice for apartments, bedrooms, and small living rooms. Despite its compact size, the SS-CS5M2 delivers up to 100 W of power. Note that since the speakers are passive, you will need an amplifier to drive them. However, if you do, you can use them for high-resolution music, thanks to a claimed frequency response of 53 Hz - 50 kHz. It is able to extend so far high in the spectrum as a result of those super tweeters. While they will work with most amplifiers and AV receivers, Sony says this pair is a perfect match for its AV receivers, such as STRDH190, 590, 790, or 1000. • So they somehow expect Apple to easily make it so that if I install say DeepSeek that DS can then handle all the tasks that Siri would be doing while integrated in the OS? That sounds like just rediculous.
    • For ray-tracing, the Radeon RX 9070 XT is better than the GeForce RTX 5070, but worse than the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti The Radeon RX 9070 XT is similar to the GeForce RTX 5070 Ti in rasterization Both AMD and NVIDIA have had serious issues with drivers in the past, so I can't say that one is better or worse than the other. Yes. AMD has better support Linux than does NVIDIA. Use Display Driver Uninstaller (DDU) to uninstall NVIDIA's drivers before installing AMD's drivers. That's up to you. Supplies of memory is unpredictable because AI using up a lot of memory. As a result, there is a lot of volatility in video card prices.
