Gelob, try updating your Update Agent server list. A beta server should show up. Use that server to get the latest beta versions.

I'm using and compiling NeoCleaner on x64, I know about this 'bug'. I'm going to fix that. As far as 64-bit stuff, like removing 64-bit software, that's a no go as I don't have access to the 64-bit side of the registry. I'll do my best to support x64 before having to move on to .net, or should I move to .net now? I would have to learn a new language(s) such as vb.net or c#...

Off Topic:

I got home about 20 min ago, spending father's day with my father today. My father, brother, sister and I had dinner at a buffet and then saw Batman Begins. I thought it was a great movie. Happy belated father's day to all the dads here on neowin! :)

it would be nice if you could support xp64 but at the moment you may wish to concentrate on the 32bit verson and put in the features you wish to add.

will it have a history/temp files cleaner? becuase then it would replace Ccleaner on my system

as much as i like ccleaner i prefer neocleaner becuase it updates without me having to go to the effort of visiting the website

off topic

how are you finding xp64? i find its good cept for finding drivers can be a right pain!

I'm enjoying x64. I have all my drivers, and everything's stable. Only thing is that I'm using betas of the nForce drivers, forceware drivers and nod32 and o&o defrag betas, although I haven't had any trouble with any of them yet.

Oh, BTW, NeoCleaner will have outstanding support for cleaning temporary and history files.

good :) btw i downloaded that setup file to laptop and reinstalled

seemed to update from the beta server ok after that  :)

if you need a mirror just lmk

did you acutally get a beta update? or did it just say no updates available from the beta server as oppposed to last time it crashed.

Ok, found a new bug jimbo11883. It's similar to that Update Error. When I go to settings / General / Reset Windows Size/Position / Yes - I got a Run-time error '0' again.

However, you must notice this. The error only occurs when I MAXIMIZE the window before. For example, I opened NeoCleaner, maximized, went to settings, and clicked the Reset Windows Size/Position and I got the error.

At first the window would not be maximized but restored, in that way when you apply the setting it wont give you any error. I concluded this when I tried to reproduced the error several times, might as well try to reproduce it yourself.

EDIT: I have the latest version.

    • One reason it might be running hotter is dust build up within the cooling or perhaps the paste has dried out. You could always try repasting your old GPU and cleaning the cooler. Your experience in Linux will be much better with an AMD GPU; the performance in gaming is much closer to Windows than nVidia would be. I personally think on Windows, AMD drivers are junk.
    • I reviewed it back in March, but I didn't have a 5070 at the time https://www.neowin.net/reviews/amd-rx-9070-review-vs-rtx-5070-4070-and-rx-9070-xt-7800-xt--just-good-enough/ When I reviewed the 9070 I did have a 5070 to compare it against, so the scores are there for the 9070 XT. it outperforms the 5070 in raster, and is barely neck and neck in Ray Tracing. So it's better than a 5070 in everything but Ray Tracing where it is neck and neck, or just under. To be honest, the uplift from 3080 when it was new to the 9070 XT is not as great a step up. If you can find a used 4080 Super for around the same money, you would probably be better off, but if you only want to buy new then the 16GB 9070 XT is the best value for money in its category.
    • I really hope the author's health is ok. Squirreling away a official backup of this software. Looks like the internet archive already cached a copy as well - https://web.archive.org/web/20...ldbit-soft.fi/software.html
    • AMD is supported out of the box in linux because of their open source driver. Nvidia does not. All my systems are amd and all of them work nicely on linux arch without doing anything.
    • Never had a problem with TPM and started using that many years ago in Win10. Through several motherboards and OS versions, it just does what it does without complaint. My games library doesn't even know it's there. Secure boot does a lot more than support anti-cheat, as it came along long before anti-cheat software. I've used it religiously since before I started using TPM, and I always liked it for being able to nullify virus contagions that try their best to come in underneath the firmware during boot, so that the OS doesn't see them, etc. That is its purpose, imo. I'll never understand why people who elect to use another OS feel compelled to run down Windows... I guess they need to do that to feel secure about their choices? I run Windows because it supports all the software (including games) natively that I want to buy, and I've never had to run down another OS to make me feel better about it. (Although it's certainly possible to do that, of course...) Win10 is on a ventilator atm, and Win11 is very close to being free, and I finally got to stop running StartAllBack as I moved to the Experimental/Dev channel and my 26300.8553 build supports the moveable taskbar and it's running fine at the top of the screen! Finally, my last major dislike of Win11 is being rectified! So, I'm not at all surprised to see Win11's share of the Steam survey hitting 70%.
