I have the checkbox problem fixed. As far as the thanks section, everyone in this thread that had contributed by finding bugs, making graphics, etc. will be in there. When I placed that thanks text box there the first thing that came to mind at the time was typing in Gelob... I guess the name just stuck with me lol :)

jimbo, better check the UpdateAgent. I clicked on Update Server List and it got updated, with the BETA server added. Now when I choose any of the 2 servers and click to check for updates nothing happens.

If you want further help feel free and ask :D

Only when done too fast, if you do it slowly it doesn't crash.

EDIT

After a closer look I think that if you double click a checkbox and then click again, it crashes.

Hmm....Guess im in a rush...

Current Bug list :) :ninja:

Updating with the BETA server and checking the update list with the BETA server disables the window that comes up telling you their are no updats and also removes the backup server fromt the list.

If you double click a checkbox and then click again, it crashes.

Editing an entry does nothing

When you delete the entry it should ask if you are sure you want to delete.

Update agent and remember window size and position should be checked by default

"Updating with the BETA server and checking the update list with the BETA server disables the window that comes up telling you their are no updates and also removes the backup server from the list."

The server list is always updated from the main server. The backup server has been shut down, and removed from the list of servers. The message box stating that no updates are available should only show up with a manual check (in the settings dialog). If it does show up from automatic updating, or does not show up with manual updating, please let me know.

"If you double click a checkbox and then click again, it crashes."

This is because registry calls are being made too fast, I'll see what I can do.

"Editing an entry does nothing."

I'll look into this.

"When you delete the entry it should ask if you are sure you want to delete."

For Startup Programs? It does ask you. If you're talking about Remove Programs, the functionality is not yet available.

"Update agent and remember window size and position should be checked by default."

For me they are. I've altered the way this data is saved because of the integrated settings panel. When beta testing this build, and future builds in which I ask you to, you should return your system to a clean state by uninstalling the program, deleting the NeoCleaner folder if it's still there, (C:\Program Files\Night Iguana\NeoCleaner) and deleting the registry key.(HKEY_LOCAL_USER\SOFTWARE\VB And VBA Program Settings\NeoCleaner)

Hope this clears up these issues a bit.

Also, right-clicking check boxes will be fixed. NeoCleaner uses modified versions of VBAccelerator's Toolbar and Rebar, ListView, and ListBar ActiveX Controls. This bug is part of the original ListView Control, which I've made a lot of modifications to already to get it to work the way I want it to. A new build will be out late tonight (2 AM EST?) fixing most or all of these issues.

Realtime Change Log: (Updated)

- Improved detection of command line arguments in startup programs.

- Fixed bug where editing a startup program entry does not work or works erratically.

- Right clicking check boxes to check/uncheck them in listviews are no longer possible.

SHUR, this bug has been confirmed and has been fixed. To fix this problem for the current build, you must go into your registry and navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER\SOFTWARE\VB And VBA Program Settings\NeoCleaner\Update Agent. There will be a value called Update Server. Set this value to 0. This problem is caused by me removing the backup server from the server list, and the server list feature did not have the proper error checking at the time.

Thanks Jimbo, excellent :)

... and thanks for the 'thanks to...' I just want to help as much as I can, although I don't know any programming stuff hehe

by the way, if I am let's say, at the settings and i close NeoCleaner. Then when I open it again it will open at the settings page. Why does it not open in the first page, which is 'Computer Cleanup' ?

Sorry if I did English mistakes here lol

    • Microsoft released new Defender update for Windows 11, 10, Server ISO installations by Sayan Sen Microsoft releases new Windows Defender update packages very frequently to protect against various newly discovered malware. Once a while every three months or so, the company also pushes out these updates to Windows images (WIM and VHD) and ISOs, that are used to install Windows. Hence with the newest Windows 11 update available via the official MCT tool, you should get these definitions. This update package is necessary as a Windows installation image may contain old, outdated anti-malware definitions and software binaries. Aside from better security, these updates can also provide improved performance benefits in some cases. When a new Windows installation is set up, there may be a temporary security risk due to outdated Microsoft Defender protection in the OS installation images. This happens because the antimalware software included in these images might not be up to date. Thus Microsoft says that these updated definitions essentially help close this protection gap. Microsoft delivered the latest security definitions for Windows images via security intelligence update version 1.445.323.0. The Defender package version is also the same. It applies to Windows 11, Windows 10 ESU, Windows 10 Enterprise LTSC 2021, Win 10 Ent LTSC 2019, Win 10 Ent LTSB 2016, Windows Server 2022, Windows Server 2019, and Windows Server 2016. Microsoft writes: "This package updates the anti-malware client, anti-malware engine, and signature versions in the OS installation images to following versions: Platform version: 4.18.26040.7 Engine version: 1.1.26040.8 Security intelligence version: 1.447.236.0" From Microsoft's security bulletin, we learn that the security intelligence update version 1.447.236.0 was released early last month and adds threat detections for various malware like trojan, backdoor exploits, ransomware, stealers, AutoKMS, and more. For those wondering, the latest intelligence update is version 1.451.297.0 at the time of writing.
