sorry if i'm missing something, we can't check any of the boxes or actually clean because we aren't testing that, right?

>how about the ability to check everything for a specific section?

>the uninstaller failed to remove a program, it looked like it worked but it did not, I had to go back and hit uninstall again

>i would say for the resizing of the window, the limit horizontally is good, but the limit vertically is too small (imo it would be better to limit it to the computer cleanup window instead of the four buttons on the left)

>in the remove programs, why is the path option hidden by default, you have to drag it out to be seen?

>the window setting works great :)

We cant test that becasuse there is no code behind those checkboxes yet. Jimbo wants us to work out the bugs in the UI and everything currently there before he starts added the other code.

As you can see now either late last night or this morning a new version is out that greys out buttons and menus that have no code behind them so we dont report them as non working.

Bug List:

(in order from top to least prority)

1. If you auto update from the beta server and double click or click to fast on the update list button you get the following errorerror6rn.jpg and then you cannot update the program utnil you restart it and then you must update the list from the main server again to get the beta server back in the list.

Computer Cleanup Tab,

Select All and Select None checkboxes have weird black border

by the way, if I am let's say, at the settings and i close NeoCleaner. Then when I open it again it will open at the settings page. Why does it not open in the first page, which is 'Computer Cleanup' ?
NeoCleaner remembers the last tab you were on. I'll add back in the checkbox in settings that can toggle this feature.
how about the ability to check everything for a specific section?
Good idea. Will do.
the uninstaller failed to remove a program, it looked like it worked but it did not, I had to go back and hit uninstall again
If it was an NSIS uninstaller, this will happen. Any uninstaller that copies itself to a temp directory will cause the list to refresh early. I'm still unsure how to go about fixing this.
i would say for the resizing of the window, the limit horizontally is good, but the limit vertically is too small (imo it would be better to limit it to the computer cleanup window instead of the four buttons on the left)
Just resize it vertically, it'll remember... :)
in the remove programs, why is the path option hidden by default, you have to drag it out to be seen?
I'll give it a default width so that it is visible.

I'll look into this and fix it.

Gelob, do you have 16/24-bit color, or 32-bit color? I think some icons will look wierd with color less than 32-bit. I'll work on this.
Also a feature i would really love. Is to not allow an instance to re-add itself to startup. Dam MSN messanger.

If you are referring to just MSN Messenger, this behavior is by design. Windows Updates may bring it back as can other apps, like Outlook Express or Microsoft Outlook. You really have to get rid of it altogether if you don't want to see it back in the startup list and make sure not to grab it from Windows Update in the future.

Plus, NeoCleaner would have to keep itself resident in memory to stop behavior such as this. Such a program would be similar to the functionality of Mlin's Startup Monitor.

Great app so far jimbo11883! Looks to be very promising!

Here's a list of fixes/updates since the last release:

- Added ability to disable remembering last tab.

- Fixed bug where clicking too fast on the update server list button would cause an error.

- Added ability to check/uncheck all items in a category for the computer cleanup tab.

- Implemented the delete entry feature for remove programs.

- Added default icon for remove programs entries when the proper icon could not be found.

- Recent documents implementation started.

Recent docs isn't ready yet so I'll either release a new beta without this functionality or release a new beta when it's fully functional.

    • AMD is supported out of the box in linux because of their open source driver. Nvidia does not. All my systems are amd and all of them work nicely on linux arch without doing anything.
    • Never had a problem with TPM and started using that many years ago in Win10. Through several motherboards and OS versions, it just does what it does without complaint. My games library doesn't even know it's there. Secure boot does a lot more than support anti-cheat, as it came along long before anti-cheat software. I've used it religiously since before I started using TPM, and I always liked it for being able to nullify virus contagions that try their best to come in underneath the firmware during boot, so that the OS doesn't see them, etc. That is its purpose, imo. I'll never understand why people who elect to use another OS feel compelled to run down Windows... I guess they need to do that to feel secure about their choices? I run Windows because it supports all the software (including games) natively that I want to buy, and I've never had to run down another OS to make me feel better about it. (Although it's certainly possible to do that, of course...) Win10 is on a ventilator atm, and Win11 is very close to being free, and I finally got to stop running StartAllBack as I moved to the Experimental/Dev channel and my 26300.8553 build supports the moveable taskbar and it's running fine at the top of the screen! Finally, my last major dislike of Win11 is being rectified! So, I'm not at all surprised to see Win11's share of the Steam survey hitting 70%.
    • I can answer about the Linux bit. I only used AMD GPUs. I currently have a 9060XT (8GB) that fits my needs, I'm not a gamer, so I don't need that much GDDR. But lately, NVIDIA has grown a lot in the recent years. Oh, the horrors of NVIDIA drivers not working. But they have been getting better. I know a lot of members onm here that are running cachyOS and other distros, and are fine with a 4090/5090 variants. Really, though, I would stick with AMD variants.
    • Everything they say you can already do yourself on the registry by changing some things.
    • Artist's renderings are so much nicer to view than the real thing, don't you think?
