Firefox no longer "safe"

Major problem en it's buging the **** out of me:

Everytime I start Firefox, it, or whatever it is, installs the mallware VX2 on my rig. I tryed everything to remove is. Cleaned buffers, removed temps, cleared all Inet settings, 3 differend spyware programs, and still keeps coming back :angry:

Stupid question, have you tried uninstalling Firefox to see if that clears it out?

firefox was never safe. no browser is safe. good luck.

Try uninstalling Firefox and then do a clean install with a new profile. If it still happens, check the thread slimy posted.

Well, it didn't worked, but i got a plug-in for ad aware called VX2cleaner. That got rid of all the problems.

Yeah, it's not that Netscape4, or any of the Gecko-based browsers, or even Opera are particularly that great, it's just that IE has been so overwhelmingly BAD in the past, and now only partially ameliorated if you're using XPSP2.
