Facelifted Subaru Impreza WRX

Makes it easier to put a SAAB badge on the grille and make it the 91...

(And yes, I'm being serious - look at the shape of the current SAABs grilles)

Edit: Sorry 92 - and here's a pic...

Makes sense since GM owns Saab and has a controlling interest in Subaru's parent company (Fuji Heavy Industries) (I think). If not a controlling interest, then a very close relationship (according to this, Fuji Heavy Industries is part of the GM Network). The Saab 91 and the Impreza Wagon share the same platform, so for the Saab to borrow some style elements from the new Imprezas would not be a surprise to me.

It will be interesting to see where everything goes from here. I did not like the the new STi's look when I first saw it (what did they do to my baby?), but what is under the hood is more important to me than what the front looks like (because that can be potentially modified which I am sure will happen if the new look makes enough people gag). Sure the under-the-hood components of the STi can and are modified, but I do not think they are the issue here.

To each his own

Hmm the front is more like the older model which looked more aggressive as it was more square and less rounded.

The back ends are still boring but the only Imprezza traits, the front looks nothing like what we all know as an Imprezza :/

i agree with this but i quite like the front of the new one ;)

i kind of like it (i have been a fan of WRX's for a while now), but i really dont like those huge spoilers (on this car or any car at all).....they just seem to be for compensation of a lacking of something else

It was called a spoiler for a reason :p

in my opinion this one was great. all newer model including current are fugly. i hate the current headlights.

however this new headlights are much better. i dont really like the back lights and wing, but the frond is great once more. i like it a lot. i dont mind the middle hole too.

/me thanks god he bought his WRX in '03

i like the new headlights, but the grill is nasty. i dont like the big square hole in the center. the lights though, i do like. i like the 04 lights as well, i dont like my big basketball headlights :(

why more wings? no street car needs a wing to begin with, why add more drag to a street car by adding the wing above the rear window? the insainely large wing on the trunk is already too much.

Well, the only cars that would benefit from the wings would be RWDs and AWDs. Since the WRX STi is an AWD, the large spoiler in the rear would help it generate more rear downforce, which is what most "street", drag, and slalom cars need. Hell, if they removed the wing during WRC/rally, they'd probably crash more often. :)

wrc ralley and street cars are so insaignly difernt im suprised you botherd to compare.

drive has nothing to do with it, a FWD car needs downforce just as much as a RWD or AWD, its a function of vehicle dymanics, and how weight moves around the corners of the car while driving.

down force dosent kick in till about 118MPH on a street car style wing, most street cars dont see 100mph in a 1/4 mile.

    • Nvidia GeForce NOW gains support for Dark Scrolls, Empulse, and more by Pulasthi Ariyasinghe The final update of June for Nvidia's cloud gaming service GeForce NOW is now available, and it is touting support for six more games. The company is also drawing subscriber attention towards the summer sales kicking off across stores, so they can stock up on more cloud-supported titles. Of course, the Steam Summer Sale is the biggest promotion, which is kicking off later today. "Supported Steam games can be streamed across devices with GeForce NOW, making it easy to buy a game once, keep progress synced and pick up where the gameplay left off on PCs, Macs, handheld devices, phones, TVs and more," says the company. "In other words, the Steam Summer Sale brings the deals; GeForce NOW adds the flexibility." Don't forget that the GeForce NOW summer sale is still active as well. This limited-time offer drops the 12-month Performance membership from $99.99 to $64.99, saving members $35. At the same time, the 12-month Ultimate membership is currently going for $129.99, dropping the price by $70 from the original $199.99. Here are the games joining GeForce NOW's supported list this week: Dark Scrolls (New release on Steam, available June 22) SAND: Raiders of Sophie (New release on Steam, available June 22) Deer & Boy (New release on Steam, available June 23) EMPULSE (New release on Steam, available June 24) The Adventures of Elliot: The Millennium Tales (Steam) FATAL FURY: City of the Wolves (Steam) With the June expansions coming to an end, Nvidia should be announcing its July GeForce NOW plans next week. Keep in mind that, unlike subscription services like Game Pass or EA Play, a copy of a game must be owned by the GeForce NOW member (or at least have a license via PC Game Pass) to start playing via Nvidia's cloud servers. There is also a limit to how many hours subscribers can use the service per month.

    • There are so many of these apps now that do this, what do people recommend?
    • Just the price of doing business. The scamble to pull as much from the web as possible is happening, and it's happening before a case like this changes how or what is legal do to with AI in terms of data harvesting. But even then as we've seen with the likes of Google who ignore cookie requests and just accept the fact they'll get fined, it's built into their business price model now. AI is here, its not going away. Their reward if any from the court case would be best suited to trying to incorprate AI or licence their end points as authentic human verified content. The problem is, as we've seen these same news papers are using AI themselves.
