Free Zone Alarm Firewall or Norton Firewall?

Well I have just got my New PC and I'm getting Norton Antivirus

and thinking about maybe getting Norton Firewall or Free Zone Alarm Firewall?

Which One Would You Recommend?

Also would they cause conflicts with my Windows XP Pro Firewall?

Why should I disable it?

Are other Firewalls much better than the windows xp one?

I would recommend going for Zonealarm w Antivirus or Zonealarm Security Suite, it will cost you less than two products combined and have less performance overhead. Personally I avoid Symantec products like the plague they take a load of system resources. The Zonealarm firewall is much better than Norton's also. Also, you should only run one software firewall on your machine at one time.

Another vote for ZA (either free or pro).

If it's a question of one or the other ZoneAlarm is the way to go.

Not to troll, but I find Sygate much better than ZA, it's even less resource hungry and less intrusive IMO. It's worth giving it a try before you make your final decision. Kerio is another good choice. (Both are free...)

Sygate and Kerio are good firewalls but I would say that ZA is a little more user friendly for the average user.
