SuperJediMedia Posted June 21, 2002 Share Posted June 21, 2002 Ok, my friend called me today (thinks I know a lot about computers, plus the fact that I got Antivirus tools) said his computer won't boot into windows. So, I went to help him out. I check the virus, nothing found. Since it won't boot into windows, I immediately checked the Windows boot files (he is using Windows 98) And, there it is, inside MSDOS.SYS there is added entry [paths] winbootdir=0 Thankfully, it seems like the harm done was very little.
