Congratulations, you have been selected to help develop the latest version of MSN Hotmail. We are currently testing a beta version and would like you to join us in evaluating and improving this product.

By joining the MSN Hotmail Beta program, you understand and agree to the following:

Beta versions of software are not of the same quality as the final version of the software. While we work hard to ensure that your experience is free of problems, we are asking you to evaluate a test version of MSN Hotmail, and you may discover issues.

Beta software is not always available. During your participation in the beta program, we may not be able to provide the same level of service and availability of your Hotmail account as you are accustomed to with our regular service.

The beta version of Hotmail is currently available only to users running Microsoft Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above. If you join the beta program, you will not be able to access your mail from a different browser.

Frequently Asked Questions

What is a beta?

A beta is a test version of software that is made available to a subset of users who can give feedback to MSN and help us find issues before we release the final version of the software to the general public.

Will all my mail still exist?

All of your mail will remain on our servers during the Hotmail beta program. While we do not anticipate issues, due to the test environment, we cannot guarantee that all mail will be viewable though the beta.

Why was I chosen for the beta?

You were selected because your account matched a set of criteria that we want to test the latest version of Hotmail against.

Will I only be able to use Internet Explorer?

While only Internet Explorer version 6.0 and above are currently supported for the beta, we抣l be adding additional browser support over the next few months to allow you to use most popular web browsers on the market.

What is expected off me?

We抎 love to hear any feedback, comments, or issues you have with the Hotmail beta program. The more you tell us, the better we can make Hotmail. Once you抳e joined the beta program, click the feedback link to send us your comments.

Is the beta accessible?

At MSN, we strive to create a Hotmail experience that is accessible to people with disabilities. However, at this stage of development and beta testing, the next version of Hotmail may not yet be accessible for people with visual or motor impairments, or for all screen readers and browsers. We recommend that people with visual or motor impairments use the current release of Hotmail, instead of the beta.

After you have read the above and understand what joining the beta is about, you may click the "Join" button below to enroll or click "No Thanks" to go back to Hotmail.

Damn that looks sweet. Too bad that rookie took the bait with that fake email about the beta for hotmail. Anyone who has been in a MS or MSN beta before knows what a beta email looks like. Just do a search thru here for one.

But I will admit that would be a sweet looking addition to hotmail. Would almost get me to use it again.

@ppsam: welcome to neowin by the way but I believe you got scammed by that email and whatever button you clicked on. Don't you think if there was a new hotmail beta that there would be a buzz on the internet about it? Make sure to do a very good scan of your computer for ad/spyware now along qith a virus scan. Hope you didn't give out your hotmail login/password after clicking on that 'beta' button.

By the way here is what a MSN beta invite email should look like:
