CCtaylor Posted June 23, 2002 Share Posted June 23, 2002 Hi, ALL I am Trying to connect a Laptop to a PC Via a Wireless Setup. It is a Netgear HE 102 802.11a acces point to Wireless Adapter HA 501. This might be basic to some but very new to Myself. What is the Easiest Way to do this?? I been to some web sites but still find it hard to understand. sailgreg Posted June 23, 2002 Share Posted June 23, 2002 You will need to but both the card and access point in infostructure mode and set both using the same SSID, I think both will already be "netgear" so you dont need to change anything! Geronimo Posted June 23, 2002 Share Posted June 23, 2002 Basic rules. AP and Card(client) need to be on same channel. AP and Card need to be on same SSID (kinda like wrieless network name). In XP it would say Wireless Network Name Of course you need to have an established signal.
